│ SUPPORT, GENERAL INFORMATION & RAMBLINGS
└────────────--
o When I wrote the initial version 1.00 of CSSC there were no other chat
PPE's on the market. Over the past few months, there have basically
been a shitload of them released. To whomever writes them, a few
notes (not everything applies to all, but ..) :
Hello, wordwrap, where are you? Fuck, what is a chat program
with no wordwrap. Its basically typeing on the screen and letting
it handle the rest. Why release these fucking programs if you
can't complete it. You waste sysop's time by releasing them,
(and hard drive space for that matter)..
Why does it seem that every other chat PPE clears the window
when you reach the bottom? What a pain in the ass to miss what
someone said just because you look away for 1 second ....
Hello, Mr. Screen Scroll, where are you ...?
Anyhow, there have been a ton of releases, each author just trying to
make their product look 'cooler' or flashier. I'm not saying this
program is the best; as a matter of fact, if you like another, please
use it. This program will not make your chats any more fascinating, it
just provides a workable split screen chat mode.
o I do not locally operate any BBS so I don't really know everything that
everyone would want in a chat program. Its a real small PPE so I will
continue to support it and update it; any feedback will be recognized
and all ideas entertained.
o This version adds the User Editor. Its very basic since I only had
a few minutes to work on it - I wanted to get a release out for version
15.1 of PCBoard. Please note, only the SYSOP sees what happens in the
editor, the user is just frozen sitting there while you play in there.
(The status line is updated, so atleast he knows whats going on :) )
o More to come ...
