  5. If you just want to install WUZ and try it out, simply type 'INST-WUZ' and
  6. hit <ENTER> and answer the questions that I have tried to make self-obvious.
  7. When in doubt, take the default.  If you should ever want to remove or
  8. reinstall WUZ, rerun 'INST-WUZ'.  It will find the current version and ask
  9. you what you would like to do with it.

  11. After installing WUZ, you will be able to open all kinds of archives, such
  12. as ZIP, ZOO, etc. by simply double-clicking on the icon or dragging the icon
  13. to your spiffy new "WPS Unzip" icon.  WUZ will create a temporary directory
  14. and extract all of the files. NOTE: You must have the appropriate archive
  15. unpacker in your path to use WUZ.  Zip users should have Info-Zip's Unzip 5.0
  16. or later.  If you use PKZIP, read WUZ.DOC to learn how to handle this.

  18. You can also ZIP up whole directories that you don't need very often
  19. (i.e. games you've already conquered, etc.) by dropping the whole
  20. folder (directory icon) on the "Zip Directory" icon.  This will replace
  21. your standard folder icon with a zipped folder icon.  Then to use it again,
  22. just drop the zipped folder icon on "WPS Unzip".  Not only will this unzip
  23. the directory, it will also unzip the icon!  Try it, you'll see.

  25. You can also use these utilities from the command line.  Type:
  26.   WUZ filename

  28. One other little utility that you might find cool from the command line is
  29. Open-Dir.CMD.  You can use this by typing:
  30.   OD directory-name
  31. This opens the specified directory as a folder on your desktop.

  33. There is a lot more information in the WUZ.Doc file.  However, if you are a
  34. non-technical user, this readme file may have already told you everything
  35. you need to know.

  40. Okay, now for the legal stuff.  I use these routines constantly and have had
  41. no problems.  If you do, let me know.  However, I can not be held liable if
  42. anything nasty happens.  This software is strictly of the "USE AT YOUR OWN
  43. RISK" variety.

  45. I am asking $20 for WPS Unzip.  I think this is probably fair.  If you make
  46. a lot of money and WUZ saves you tons of time you could send me more.
  47. On the other hand, if you are a starving student, just send me email telling
  48. me what you think and we'll call it even.  I am currently living in Japan
  49. so I know how hard it can be to send checks from outside the U.S.  If you
  50. are an international user, send me either cash or email.  If your local
  51. currency is pretty major, send me that and I'll try to exchange it.
