  24. The ShareWare-Version has all the features of the registered version, although 
  25. it will remind you, on startup, that it is unregistered. You may test it for 30 
  26. days and see for yourself if it suits your needs. If you wish to continue using 
  27. it after that testing-period, you must register. Read the sections License

  58. Non-registered users may test Floppy-Copy on a trial basis for the purpose of 
  59. determining whether it is suitable for their needs. This trial period is 
  60. limited to 30 days after which your license will expire. If you continue to use 
  61. Floppy-Copy after that period, you must register.

  63. Non-registered copies may be used by any person or institution, as long as the 
  64. above conditions are met. Unregistered copies of Floppy-Copy may be passed on 
  65. to other individuals or institutions, as long as this is done free of charge, 
  66. without any cost for the recipient of Floppy-Copy. Floppy-Copy must be copied 
  67. in unmodified and complete form, including the installation routine and this 
  68. .INF file.

  70. Operators of electronic bulletin board systems (Sysops) may offer Floppy-Copy 
  71. for downloading by their users as long as the above conditions are met. 
  72. Distributors of public domain or ShareWare may distribute copies of Floppy-Copy 
  73. subject to the above conditions. Floppy-Copy may not be distributed in 
  74. conjunction with any other product, hardware or software!

  114. Please note that the medialess registration is a lot easier for us and a lot 
  115. cheaper for you. Your registration-code will register all future versions too, 
  116. so one registration grants you lifetime use of all versions of Floppy-Copy.

  235.   This field contains valuable status information and keeps you up-to-date on 
  236.   what's happening.

  238. o Media 
  239.   Select either a valid diskette drive or an image to read, write or 
  240.   quick-format. 
  241.  
  242. o Diskette in RAM 
  243.   If a diskette or an image is ready for writing, label and type are shown. 
  244.   Status information, e.g. current track and head, is also displayed during 
  245.   copying. 
  246.  
  247. o Read/Write 
  248.   Click on these buttons to start reading or writing. During reads both buttons 
  249.   will be disabled. The write button is enabled only when there is a complete 
  250.   diskette in RAM. 
  251.  
  252. o Stop 
  253.   Select stop to immediately interrupt a read or write process. 
  254.  
  255. o Q-Format 
  256.   Click this button to quick-format a diskette. Quick-Format will erase all 
  257.   data on the diskette. 
  258.   Note: This only works with diskettes that have been previously formatted.

  260. o The System Menu 
  261.   Click on the diskette-icon in the top lefthand corner of the main window to 
  262.   invoke the system menu. The system menu lets you control the program even if 
  263.   it is minimized to the desktop. You can also open the options and product 
  264.   information dialogs.

  275. Verify Target 
  276.  
  277. o Never 
  278.   The target diskette will not be verified. 
  279.  
  280. o Standard 
  281.   The target diskette will be verified while it is written. Although this is a 
  282.   bit slower than the previous option, it is recommended to always enable this 
  283.   feature. This selection is default. 
  284.  
  285. o Extended 
  286.   After the writing process is finished, all tracks that have been written will 
  287.   be read again and compared with the diskette in memory. This might be a bit 
  288.   safer than standard verify, but it also is slower. 
  289.  
  290. Format Target 
  291.  
  292. o Never 
  293.   Unformatted diskettes will not be formatted by Floppy-Copy and thus not be 
  294.   written. 
  295.  
  296. o If necessary 
  297.   If unformatted media is detected, Floppy-Copy will format the diskette during 
  298.   the process of writing. Although this does take some time, it is very fast 
  299.   compared with regular formatting of diskettes via OS/2's format. This is the 
  300.   default selection. 
  301.  
  302. o Always 
  303.   All diskettes will be formatted while writing. Enabling this option is 
  304.   normally not necessary. 
  305.  
  306. Image type 
  307.  
  308. o Packed 
  309.   Diskette images will be packed using a proprietary packing algorithm. This 
  310.   decreases the size of the image and facilitates distribution via up- or 
  311.   download. 
  312.  
  313. o VMDISK 
  314.   The image created by Floppy-Copy will be compatible to the VMDISK format. 
  315.   OS/2 uses this format to create bootable DOS-VDM images. 
  316.  
  317. o DiskImage 
  318.   Images will be in DiskImage format. This is a widely used format which can 
  319.   also be read by several other disk-imaging programs. This is the default 
  320.   selection. 
  321.  
  322. Type of Read/Write 
  323.  
  324. o Read & Write all sectors on diskette 
  325.   The entire diskette will be read into memory and all tracks will be written, 
  326.   whether used or not used. This is the default selection. 
  327.  
  328. o Read & Write only used sectors on diskette 
  329.   Only used tracks will be read/written from/to diskette. If the diskette is 
  330.   only partially used, this option will lead to a significant speed increase 
  331.   when reading and writing diskettes. 
  332.  
  333. Warning Messages 
  334.  
  335. o Warn if target contains data 
  336.   When attempting to write onto a diskette that is not empty, this will 
  337.   generate a message asking for a confirmation. 
  338.  
  339. o Warn if disk was not changed after read 
  340.   Floppy-Copy will try to detect whether the diskette in RAM is identical with 
  341.   the diskette in the drive. If so, you will be asked to confirm that it will 
  342.   be written to. 
  343.  
  344. o Warn if target type might be incompatible 
  345.   Floppy-Copy provides minimal support for copying diskettes onto diskettes of 
  346.   greater capacity, provided the target has been previously formatted. If this 
  347.   warning is enabled, you will be asked to confirm your selection and 
  348.   Floppy-Copy will try to perform the requested action. 
  349.  
  350. o Show additional window on fatal errors 
  351.   Displays an additional popup-window if an unrecoverable error occurs. 
  352.  
  353. SAVE will permanently store the new settings. TEMPORARY will keep the new 
  354. settings active only during this session.
