Telephone Prefix Zone Locator for California
Version 2.1 - 02/01/94
by Kevin Krausnick
35660 Haley St. #203
Newark, CA. 94560
PREFIX is designed to display the city zone, when given an
Area Code and the first three digits of a phone number. This
makes placing calls much easier, since you can tell ahead of
time whether the number will be local or long distance. The
program is particularly useful for those who...
...make routine phone calls as part of their daily
business.
...frequently call BBS numbers, but need to know WHERE they
are calling.
...audit their phone bills.
The program is pretty straight forward in usage. TAB toggles
between the Area Code and the Prefix fields. ENTER searches
for the city. ESCape exits the program.
The built-in database contains over 4000 prefix entries, for
more than 600 cities throughout the state of California.
Please note that new telephone prefixes are continually being
added. If you find a city or prefix missing from the
database, I will gladly add it to the next release if you
bring it to my attention.
BENEFITS TO REGISTRATION: For the reasonable registration
fee of $5, you will receive the latest version of PREFIX,
along with other handy utilities - including an Area Code
locator for the entire United States and Canada. This
utility will search either by Area Code or by State/Province.
DISCLAIMER: Although every effort has been taken to ensure
the information provided by the program is current and
accurate, I will accept no responsibility for data entry
errors which might result in erroneous output.
