Page Plus V2.00 from Fifth Dimension Software
Written by Rafi Khard [0002]DD
---------------------------------------------
Introduction
------------
This program has been throughly tested, but it may still have some
bugs. If you find any bugs and report them to me, I will reward
you with a free registered copy. In no way am I responsible for
any damage to software or hardware caused by Page Plus V2.00 (even
though this is not possible, I have to put this in).
Special Thanks to: Arsen Darak (Ultrasoft Inc.)

Command Line Operation
----------------------
The newest feature, command line operation. This was put into Page
Plus so it would make it even faster to page someone if you were in
a hurry. To see the help screen type PAGEPLUS /H. To operate Page
Plus by command line is almost as easy as to use the full program.
Below is the way to use the command line operation.
PAGEPLUS <Delaytime> <Comport> <Pagernumber> <Yournumber>
Delaytime = Delay time is the time the modem waits between entering
the pager number and entering your number. Usually this is six, but
it may vary from pager to pager. Orginally, this option was not in
the program, but as I tested more and more pagers, the program came
up. Valid delay times are from 4 to 10.
Comport = Specifies the comport the modem is on. This is pretty
self explainitory.
Pagernumber = Specifies the pager number of the person you are tring
to page.
Yournumber = Is the number that is to appear on the person's pager
that you are attempting to page.
EX: PAGEPLUS 6 2 7772222 5551212
With this command the modem will use a delay time of 6, using comport
2 it will dial 7772222 and 5551212 will be the number that will appear
on the person's pager. (Do not dial this number, I made it up for an
example) That is about it for command line operation, if you have
any further questions, contact me on the systems listed at the end of
this documentation.
Full Program Operation
----------------------
To operate Page Plus in full program mode, just enter PAGEPLUS alone.
From here you will see a series of questions. There is a help window
at the bottom of the screen so it is quite easy. There is only one
question I think I should go into further detail with.
Q: Enter the Delay time for page 4-10 (Enter)=6
E: This is asking you to define how long you want the modem to
wait while paging before it enters your phone number and pushes
pound once the paging service has been dialed. Usually this
should be six, but if you see that the pages are not being
completed fully either because it waits too long or too short,
you can change this by typing the number you want in.
Besides this question, I would assume the rest is pretty easy. Once
again, if you have any questions, don't hesitate to call the boards
at the end of this documentation to ask me. I will happly answer
any and all questions.
Notes
-----
This program SHOULD work on every paging company. If it doesn't
on the one you want to call, leave me mail on The Tool Shop BBS.
I will enclose the number at the end of this documentation.
Well during the testing of this program, I ran into the problem
I was hoping I wouldn't, I had to implement the DELAY time
prompt. What this does is it tells the modem how long to wait
after dialing the paging company and entering your phone number
(described above).
Registration
------------
Registration fee is only 10$. This is if you find that you can
use this program and support me to write some more nifty programs.
This one took quite a while as I encountered several bugs which is
why I started with version 1.30 instead of 1.00. With your paid
registration you will recieve:
* 1 - Gets rid of the UNREGISTERED message
* 2 - All future updates to this program free of charge
* 3 - Full voice support
You can reach me on either of the two systems listed below:
* The Parthenon BBS (818) 727-7070 (Recommended)
3 Public Nodes/CD Rom/Access on First Call
* The Tool Shop BBS (818) 891-6780
1 Public Node/6 Private Nodes/Home of Hslink
Over 1 Gig Online/Message Nets
On either of these systems, Email RAFI KHARD, and just say that you
are interested in registering Page Plus. I recommend that
you call The Parthenon as the chances of getting a busy signal are
slim. Greets to both sysops. Thanks for using Page Plus!
