  3. trakbox corel draw panel layouts:

  5. the panel layout files are enclosure specific for the Bud LB-1663 Contempo
  6. box... this box is a 'ten-tec' type box, gray in color with black plastic
  7. side panels, with the following dimensions:
  8.  
  9.         3 1/4"  high
  10.         7 1/32" wide
  11.         7 3/16" deep
  12.  
  13. the box is a mite too small for the pcb to fit into the pcb grooves molded in
  14. the plastic side panels, therefore you have to *trim* the printed circuit
  15. board by about 3/32 ths of an inch... this is easily done with a hand file...
  16. it is *much* easier to do if you haven't populated the board...  if you
  17. don't want to trim your pcb you can still use the layout as an
  18. example of "how to do it"...
  19.  
  20. the layout is for two types of satellite selector switches... the switch
  21. furnished with my tapr kit... and with a pushbutton 16 position switch..
  22. my 10 position switch as furnished by tapr only had *9* positions!!!
  23. (i understand a few of the switches had a stop... )...i had to take the
  24. switch apart and remove the stop... now it has *10* positions...
  25. i since have replaced the rotary switch with a pushbutton switch from
  26. mouser... there are panel layouts for both switches and the mouser
  27. part numbers are on the design page...

  29. the drawing files with the extension .cdr are corel draw 3 files... of course
  30. the files with the .gif extension are gif files, 1024x768... if anyone needs
  31. a different file type please let me know... i can furnish any file type
  32. supported as an export file from corel draw 3...

  46. the layout files were created by raymond cagle, w4ujz... from
  47. information i furnished... as you can see from the layouts raymond
  48. has done an outstanding job... and you should see the finished
  49. product... raymond has developed a method of transferring the
  50. images to the metal that results in a panel that is nothing short
  51. of spectacular!!!  ... we will be publicizing the transfer
  52. technique shortly...
