  15.         Thank you for your interest in RADIST!!  I am sure you will
  16.         enjoy all the files and doorware that will be coming to you
  17.         through the RADIST Network.  Please read this whole document.
  18.         It is short but will give you the important information that
  19.         you will need.
  20.  
  21.         All that you need to do is send me the RADAPP.xxx and also a
  22.         copy to whom you are requesting a link with.  I need your
  23.         application to be able to add you to The Map that RADIST makes
  24.         available worldwide.  That way everyone will know who is
  25.         connected and where they are connected too.
  26.  
  27.         Obviously the SysOp that you will be receiving your files from
  28.         will also need a copy of the RADAPP.xxx unless you are receiving
  29.         your files via satellite.  Please remember to rename the file to
  30.         your address ie. 1:135/71 would name their application 135-71.RAD.
  31.         This is to help keep duplicate applications from coming in on the
  32.         same day with the same name.

  34.         Once you have been setup you will need you to poll at least 2
  35.         times a week for your files.  If you are 1200/2400, please poll
  36.         every other day.  This is important, because some systems can
  37.         really get bogged down with too many things in the queue.  It is
  38.         up to the Distributor in your area to either request that you
  39.         poll him for the files or that he sends them crash to you.
  40.         Whatever the case please work it out with him/her.

  42.         Effective January 1, 1994 the following are the active areas and
  43.         their descriptions:

  55.        There is also a SysOp Message echo with the tagname of
  56.        RADIST_SYS.  Please set this up as you will be receiving echomail
  57.        from others who are participating in RADist in this echo.  This
  58.        is a good place to discuss problems and ask questions about
  59.        RemoteAccess programs and the distribution.

  61.        If you have any questions about any of this, ask your Distributor.

  63.        After you are set up, give me or the Distributor a day or two to
  64.        process your application and get back to you for your feed.  Make
  65.        sure you setup your password on YOUR end so when your Distributor
  66.        netmails you, everything goes smoothly.  You do NOT need to set
  67.        up the password with HQ, (1:135/71).

  74.       hopefully help you get the latest and greatest programs out there
  75.       too.  So participate and get involved in the Echo.  There is a lot
  76.       of help to be found in there also.
