Because your radio station will require an antenna, and a feed line of some
sort to connect the antenna to the radio, you will need a convenient means of
getting the feed line into the shack. There are many ways of doing this, but
one of the easiest and most effective requires only a window. Many hams
simply replace the glass pane in a convenient window with a clear acrylic
panel, which can be drilled to accept as many feed lines as needed. Special
threaded feedthrough connectors make the job easy. If you decide to
relocate your station, or move, the glass pane can be replaced, restoring
the window to its original condition. +
