  5. This news bulletin was compiled and edited by Steve Wright,
  6. EI5DD, in conjunction with the members of the Galway VHF Group.

  9. AREN - TIPPERARY,  KILKENNY & WATERFORD.
  10.  
  11. As HF conditions were very poor last week we repeat this item
  12. for the Tipperary, Kilkenny and Waterford areas. Liam, EI7FE,
  13. would like to contact anyone interested in the Amateur Radio
  14. Emergency Network from Counties Tipperary, Kilkenny and
  15. Waterford. Liam will be listening on 7.077 MHz and  3.640 Mhz
  16. +/- QRM after the HF news bulletins today and will call in after
  17. the VHF news transmitted from Waterford on Tuesday the 15th at
  18. 9:30 PM. Phone  052-22493 or call in on 145.525 any time for
  19. further information.

  22. CORK PACKET GROUP.

  24. The Cork Packet Radio Group will be holding their Annual General
  25. Meeting in the Berrick Room, Imperial Hotel, Pembroke Street,
  26. Cork, on Wednesday the 23rd of February at 8 PM. This meeting is
  27. open to all who have an interest in Radio Data Communications.

  33. SOUTH DUBLIN RADIO CLUB.

  35. Congratulations to Mark Boothmann from County Kildare, a member
  36. of South Dublin Radio Club, who has recently passed the morse
  37. examination and is now active on HF. For many years, SDR has
  38. been running morse classes during its Tuesday meetings and has
  39. been acheiving almost 100% success. These classes, like the
  40. club's theory classes, are completely free.

  43. PHOENIX AMATEUR RADIO CLUB.
  44.  
  45. The Phoenix Amateur Radio Club Radio Exhibition and Sale will
  46. take place at 2 PM today (Sunday 20th of February) in the
  47. Coolmine Community School, Blanchardstown, Dublin 15, just off
  48. the Navan Road and one mile from the M50. 
  49.  
  50. There will be plenty of activity, major traders present, light
  51. refreshments available, a supervised car park and talk-in on S21.
  52.  
  53. The Phoenix Amateur Radio Club meet every Tuesday at 8:30 PM in
  54. the Coolmine Community School.

  57. CARLOW AND DISTRICT RADIO GROUP.

  59. The Annual General Meeting of the Carlow and District Radio
  60. Group took place on Wednesday the 2nd of February and the
  61. following officers were elected: Chairman, Jim Murphy EI8HA,
  62. Hon. Secretary, Pat Hutton EI6HF, and Treasurer , Sean Corry
  63. EI6BPD.

  65. The theory classes have commenced and will run for twelve weeks.
  66. Such was the interest that the CW classes had to be left over
  67. until the 9th of February. The times for the classes are as
  68. follows: Theory classes commence at 7:30 PM sharp followed by
  69. Morse Classes at 9:00 PM.

  71. All are welcomed to attend the club meetings if they are in, or
  72. passing through, the Carlow area on Wednesday evenings at 7:30
  73. PM. The room number is posted in the Kilkenny Road entrance hall
  74. of the Carlow Regional Technical College.

  81. DONEGAL (TIR CONAILL) AMATEUR RADIO SOCIETY.

  83. The Donegal produced flier, to circulate with the IRTS
  84. Newsletter, is hot off the press and will soon be read
  85. worldwide. The flier contains advertising and information
  86. concerning accomodation and important details about the IRTS AGM
  87. and Dinner in Ballybofey, Co. Donegal, on April the 23rd and
  88. 24th.

  90. The Annual Dinner and General meeting will be held in Jackson's
  91. Hotel Ballybofey over the weekend of the 23rd and 24th of April.
  92. The hotel will be charging IR#22.00 per person sharing for B&B.
  93. The price of the Dinner Dance Tickets will be IR#13:00 each. It
  94. is suggested that anyone wishing to stay in Donegal for
  95. the weekend should book early as the date of the IRTS AGM will
  96. be clashing with a Golf Tournament being held over the same
  97. weekend. If Jackson's Hotel should become fully booked there is
  98. a second hotel and B&B facilities in the area.
