~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Launched in 1989 as a new service of the National Library of Scotland,
the Scottish Science Library exists to meet the needs of the scientific,
industrial, and business community throughout Scotland.
Housed in the National Library's new 'high tech' Causewayside Building
in Edinburgh, the Scottish Science Library is a reference library
offering a comprehensive service in its subject areas.
There is no charge for admission, or to consult material in the Library,
but prospective users should bring identification with them.
collections. Certain restrictions apply to undergraduate students and
schoolchildren. Details available on request. The business community can
call upon the expertise of the specialist staff of the Scottish Business
