  37.      The Shareware Concept

  39.      Family Scrapbook is Shareware.  Shareware basically means "Try
  40.      before you buy."  If you try a Shareware program and continue
  41.      using it, you must compensate the author by purchasing it.
  42.      (purchasing a shareware product is usually called "registering")

  44.      Copyright laws apply to both Shareware and commercial software.
  45.      Shareware authors are accomplished programmers, just like
  46.      commercial authors, and the programs are of comparable quality.
  47.      (In both cases, there are good programs and bad ones!)  The main
  48.      difference is in the method of distribution.

  50.      Shareware is a distribution method, not a type of software.  You
  51.      should find software that suits your needs and pocketbook, whether
  52.      it's commercial or Shareware.  The Shareware system makes fitting
  53.      your needs easier, because you can try before you buy.  And because
  54.      the overhead is low, prices are low also. Shareware has the
  55.      ultimate money-back guarantee -- if you don't use the product, you
  56.      don't pay for it.

  113.      The manual is contained in FSB.DOC, which will be uncompressed
  114.      during the installation procedure.  A printed manual is mailed to
  115.      those who register the program.

  127.      Installation Instructions

  129.      You need about 2.5MB of free disk space.  The program will need
  130.      more disk space as you add data.

  132.      Uncompress all files onto floppy disks or a temporary subdir and
  133.      run the INSTALL program on disk 1. INSTALL will do the following:
  134.  
  135.              1. Make a subdirectory on your hard disk
  136.              2. Install the files into it.
  137.              3. If you are upgrading from a previous version, it will
  138.                 convert your old data to the new format.  Make sure
  139.                 you know what your old version is before starting.
  140.                 MAKE A BACKUP before upgrading!  ...Just in case!

  142.      Example:        1. Put disk 1 in drive A:
  143.                      2. Type A: and then press ENTER
  144.                      3. Type INSTALL and then press ENTER
  145.                      4. It will tell you what to do next...
