  5. BusinessCards for Windows is a free form database program, useful for
  6. keeping track of any type of textual information. You can use
  7. BusinessCards to organise and manage variuos data - names, addresses,
  8. phone numbers, etc.
  9.  
  10. I've tried to make BusinessCards to be more useful and easy to use, than
  11. old Windows buddy Cardfile (I wonder if somebody uses it at all!).
  12. BusinessCards has a number of improvements over Cardfile, such as:
  13.  
  14.     *  notebook-like visual appearence with alphabetical tabs;
  15.     *  configurable toolbar;
  16.     *  simultaneuos cards and list view;
  17.     *  more useful search facility;
  18.     *  attachment feature, which allows to associate a card with
  19.        any number of external files (i.e. contracts with specific
  20.        customer). Application, associated with specific file could be
  21.        launced from inside BusinessCards.

  23. I've written the original program in January-March 1993 in Vilnius,
  24. Lithuania. Since then I've managed to move to Bay Area from where I
  25. release BusinessCards as shareware. Please read registration
  26. instructions in help file or Help About dialog box.

  28. The archive BCARDS.ZIP contains the following files:

  36. Re-distribution by any media, disk, ftp servers or BBS, is expressly
  37. encouraged. You can distribute it freely, but please leave the archive
  38. intact when re-posting. If there is a technical need to split up the
  39. archive, please include this README.1ST with all parts, and tell the
  40. user where to find the other parts.

  42. Version v1.00 of BusinessCards has the following limitations:
  43.  
  44.    *  length of card's text: 127 characters;
  45.    *  number of cards per tab letter: 30;
  46.    *  maximum number of cards per file: 780;
  47.

  49. regarding the programm. I also appreciate any bugs/errors information
  50. which would help me with the future release.
