  99. product.  This example is probably pretty large, as VENDINFO files

  104. This package contains the InContext(TM) Work Environment Manager
  105. (Version 1.10), by Rams' Island Software.  This document contains
  106. only a very brief description of the package and its features, along
  107. with instructions for its installation.  Quite detailed documentation
  108. is included in the package, but it is in archived form, and is more
  109. easily read after installation.

  112. all features of the program, and is not crippled in any way.  You may
  113. use it for up to 30 days, without charge (see INCONTXT.DOC for more

  116. REGISTER.DOC for more details).  Any fee you may have paid to others

  146. The installation procedure for InContext is quite simple.  The
  147. package includes a program, "INSTALL.EXE", which automates the
  148. entire process.  You will need about 1M of available disk space
  149. on the hard drive on which you plan to install InContext.  After the
  150. installation, you can implement space-saving measures to substantially
  151. reduce the amount of continuing disk space used by InContext, if you
  152. like.

  154. The exact steps you need to take will depend on how you received
  155. InContext.
  156.  
  157.  
  158. INSTALLING FROM DISKETTES
  159.  
  160. To install from diskette(s), you need to perform the following steps.
  161.  
  162.    o  Place InContext distribution diskette "Disk 1" in the
  163.       appropriate diskette drive.
  164.  
  165.    o  Execute the "INSTALL.EXE" program on the distribution diskette.
  166.       For example, if the distribution diskette is on drive A:, type
  167.       the MS-DOS command, "a:install".
  168.  
  169.    o  Follow the instructions presented by the installation program.
  170.       You will have a chance to approve installation before any changes
  171.       are actually made to the contents of your hard drive.  The
  172.       program will ask you for a destination directory, and will copy
  173.       the InContext files to that directory.  If you received InContext
  174.       on two diskettes, you will need to insert Disk 2 in the diskette
  175.       drive when asked to do so.  If you so direct it, the installation
  176.       program will install executable programs and documentation in
  177.       other directories of your choice.  It will make no other changes;
  178.       specifically, it will not modify your autoexec.bat or config.sys
  179.       files.

  182. INSTALLING FROM A HARD DRIVE
  183.  
  184. If you downloaded InContext from a BBS (or received it in the form of
  185. archive files from some other source), you will need to perform the
  186. following steps.
  187.  
  188.    o  Extract the contents of the archive file(s) in a temporary
  189.       directory on your hard drive.  The procedure for doing this
  190.       varies, depending on the form in which you received the package.
  191.       In all likelihood, the fact that you are reading this text means
  192.       that you already have the necessary tools and knowledge to
  193.       perform this step.  If not, you should be able to obtain
  194.       directions for this from the same source from which you received
  195.       the package.
  196.  
  197.    o  Execute the "INSTALL.EXE" program which you have extracted.  For
  198.       example, if the temporary directory into which you have extracted
  199.       the InContext package is C:\TEMPDIR, you would execute the MS-DOS
  200.       command, "c:\tempdir\install".

  202.    o  Follow the instructions presented by the installation program.
  203.       You will have a chance to approve installation before any changes
  204.       are actually made to the contents of your hard drive.  The
