  1.   DINERS CLUB / CARTE BLANCHE HELP
  2.  
  3.   This  module will  assist you   in validating  DINERS CLUB  / CARTE
  4.   BLANCHE card numbers. Enter the card number, then press <enter>.
  5.  
  6.   You  may  enter  the  card  number  with  space or dash delimiters,
  7.   although any  error in format will  cause an error. It  is probably
  8.   best to enter the card number without punctuation or delimiters.
  9.  
  10.   When  you  press  <enter>,  the  program  will  perform  a checksum
  11.   evaluation of  the card number  using the standard  algorithm. Card
  12.   numbers will either  "PASS" or "FAIL". A card  number that "passes"
  13.   is  not necessarily  valid, nor  an indication  that the account is
  14.   valid, open, or approved for a given transaction.

  16.   It is  inadvisable to base acceptance  of a card on  this program's
  17.   output. Please make a proper  validation of any credit card through
  18.   a direct  inquiry  with  the  issuer  prior  to  relying upon it as
  19.   payment.

  21.   You  may access  additional Diners  Club /  Carte Blanche reference
  22.   information by  invoking the reference  file. Do this  by accessing
  23.   the menu  and choosing the More  command. This feature may  also be
  24.   activated easily by pressing <Ctrl-M> for MORE.

  26.   If you have the automatic print feature activated, the program will
  27.   direct  a report  to the  default printer  concurrently with screen
  28.   output  each time  you press   <enter>. Likewise,  if you  have the
  29.   automatic  file  output  feature  enabled,  your  disk file will be
  30.   appended (or created) concurrently with  the screen output. You may
  31.   enable both of these options at the same time if you like.

  33.   If you choose to leave the automatic print output disabled, you may
  34.   still  generate a  print of  the report  showing on  the screen  by
  35.   accessing  the  menu  and  choosing  the  RapidPrint  command. This
  36.   feature may be  activated more easily by pressing  <Ctrl-P>. A copy
  37.   of the report  showing will be immediately directed  to the default
  38.   printer.

  40.   When you have finished performing inquiries for Diners Club / Carte
  41.   Blanche,  press  the  escape  key  to  return  to  the main program
  42.   selection  screen. To  exit the  program quickly,  you should press
  43.   <Ctrl-X>.

  45.   When you have finished reading this help file, press the escape key
  46.   to return to the Diners Club / Carte Blanche module.
