Bar Code Setup Help
:The Bar Code Setup screen contains the options for
printing Bar Code Labels. The default values will
work in most cases.

Printer Location: Press F5 for list.
Bar Code Height : Number of lines. Default = 2
Printer Passes : Dot Matrix Passes. Default = 2

Lines Per Inch : Printing line size. Default = 6
Characters/Inch : Printing size. Default = 10
Print Ratio

:This screen contains emergency information for the

:This table lists all employees by name showing the
Employee Number, Name and information status. If
information is on file, this field will display

:This table lists all employees by name. The shows
the Employee Number, Name and Department.
ETo add an employee, press the INS key. To delete,

Employee Master File Update Help 1
:This screen contains basic employee information.
First, enter the employee's Social Security number.
Now enter a unique employee number. This can be
any alphanumeric combination. If the number is
already on the system, an error message will be
displayed at the bottom of the screen.
HYou must fill in the First and Last name fields.
Now fill in the information for each field that
you would like to keep information on.
HTo cancel and return, press the Ctrl ESC keys.

Employee Master File Update Help 2
:This screen contains detail employee information.
First, select the Employment Status, FTIME for
Full Time, PTIME for Part Time and TERM for
terminated employees.
YNow enter the Hire date and any other fields that
you want to keep data on.
The last 2 fields are
the User Defined fields. You can use these to
track data that is not listed on the screen.
BTo cancel and return, press the Ctrl ESC keys.

:From this menu you can view Employee information
and Emergency data and setup user Password access.

TimeCard Archive Library Update Help
:First, enter the new Archive file name. Do not
include the file extension.
SNow enter the Directory Path to save the file in.
You may enter up to 40 characters.
LSelect Yes to Empty the Current Active file or No
to leave intact. This would create a mirror file.
Press the F9 or ESC key to return to the menu.

TimeCard Archive Library Table Help
:From this Table, you can Archive the active Time
Card (QTIME.DAT) data file to a filename of your
choice. You can report on any file when printing.
<You can also change active files by highlighting
the file and pressing the ENTER key.
JTo create an archive file, make the file to archive
the active file and press the INS key. To delete
an archive file, press the DEL key.
KPress the F9 or ESC key to return to the menu.

:Each menu option selects a sub-menu with additional
menu options.
aSelect the menu option desired by using the
arrow keys and pressing ENTER. You may also select
an option by pressing the respective number. For
example, press 3 for the Utilities menu.

screen for additional information.

Maintenance Options Help
:From this procedure you can Purge data files and
Pack them to increase file performance. You must
have at least 55k of free memory and enough free
disk space to equal the file size.
LIf you would like to purge any of these data files,
select Yes and then the select the purge dates.
Select Yes if you want to pack and condense the
file.

Message Area Help
9The Message Area is a mini typewriter. Type
a message using the keyboard keys and these
special movement keys;
TCtrl ENTER Key To end and save message.
Ctrl ESC Key To abort and return.
ENTER Key To jump down one line.
INS SPACEBAR Keys Move text down one line.
DEL Key To delete a character.
HOME Key Move to beginning of line.
END Key Move to end of line.
Keys Move one space at a time.

Message Table Help
:This table lists all messages that are currently
on the system from or to you.
QTo add a message, press the INS key. To delete a
message, press the DEL key. To view a message,
highlight that line using the
keys and press
the ENTER key.

Message Update Help
:To add a new message, enter the senders name in
the From field. Now enter the name of the person
that you want to send to. Leave blank if you want
to send a global message. Next, enter the subject
of the the message.
[Now select the message type. Select "P" for
private, select "R" for regular, "S" for system
(Start up) or "E" for exit message.
KNow type your message. Your message can be up to 7
lines long.

User Defined Code Update Help
:User Defined Codes are used to track employee data
by groups. You setup the name for these Codes in
the Main Setup procedure.
UEnter a unique Code and description. These Codes
can be up to 6 characters long.

:This table lists all employees, currently on the
system. To select an employee, move the highlight
bar to the employee line and press the ENTER key.

:This table will list all employees that are punched

:Enter the Start purge date. This is oldest record
to be included.
_Enter the End purge date. This is the most recent
records that will be included.

Printer Lookup Table Help
3Use the Up/Down arrow keys to highlight your
printer, then press ENTER to select.

Print Menu Help
:From this menu you can print, view or save to file
reports in the Report Library, Setup Reports for
default print options and select Printer Setup
options for up to 4 printers.
QTo select an option, highlight & press ENTER.

Default Printer Setup HELP
>To print a report, you MUST setup the 'A' printer.
At the printer field, press F5 for a list of choices.
?Highlight your printer and press ENTER. You can
select up to four default printers. Next, select the
location or port for each printer.
RNow enter your printers page length setting. The
default is 59 lines. If you would like your printer
to form feed at the end of the report, answer yes
to the last option.

Report Library Menu Help
CTo print a report, highlight the report and press ENTER.
The QTC! Report Library Module will then load. The next
screen you will see will be the Query screen. Here, you
can specify the data to be included in the report.
NFrom the REPORT GENERATION screen, you will have the option
of viewing the report on screen, printing the report or
saving the report to a file.

Report Setup Help
JTo setup your report default settings, select the report from
the REPORT LIBRARY Table. These are default settings, they
can be changed at print time.
oTo edit the default settings, select the report and press ENTER.
LUpdate:
@- Description : The titles for each report can be changed.
- Access Level : Select 1, 2 or 3 to limit user access.
- Print Quality: Can be set to Normal or Letter.
- Print Size
: Select from 10, 12 or 17 CPI.
- Bold Headings: Print bold report headings.
- Italics
: Print report in Italic style.
- Page Length : Adjust to fit your printer.

QTC! Run-Time Options Help
RRun-Time options determine how the program will behave when using
one of the following options.
}Employee Filter : This determines what employees will be displayed.
Enable Tickler : Select Yes to have your To Do Reminders tickled.
Enable Beeps
: Select Yes to enable message and error beeps.
Operation Mode : Stay running or Return to DOS on exit.
Account Method : Account hours by Date, Shift or End of shift.
Default Breaks : Enter total breaks in real time. ( 1:00 )
Default W Code : Default Work Code to be used on Schedules.
Account Codes
: Default to User defined, Global or by employee.
Global Code
: Setup code for global use, leave blank for none.
Bar Code Delay : Enter the screen delay, in seconds, for BC readers.
Tolerance Hour : Enter the top Hour (minutes) for TimeCard rounding.
Tolerance Half : Enter the bottom Half (minutes) for rounding.
ZPress F9 or Ctrl ENTER to save and return to SYSOP Menu.

Weekly Schedule Table Help
:First, select the employee from the Employee Lookup
screen. You may now scroll through the schedules
by using the Page Up or Page Down keys.
GTo edit or delete a schedule, highlight that line
and press ENTER to edit or DEL to delete. To add
a schedule, press INS.
XPress F9 to return to the menu.

Date Schedule Table Help
:First, select the date to view or press F4 for the
Calendar. You may now scroll through the schedules
by using the Page Up or Page Down keys.
GTo edit or delete a schedule, highlight that line
and press ENTER to edit or DEL to delete. To add
a schedule, press INS.
XPress F9 to return to the Main Menu.

Daily Schedule HELP
DFrom this form, you can schedule employee work days by
code, for one shift.
lEnter the starting and ending hours for this shift. Now
enter the total time in breaks if you want to report real
time hours. The total hours are now calculated for you.
HEnter the optional ABS Work and Account Codes or press F5
for the Code Table.
Press ENTER or F9 key to save and update the files.

QTC! Main Setup Help
JFirst, enter your Registration Number. If you do not have a
registration number, leave this field blank. Next, enter your
company name and address. This will be used on some reports.
OThe User Defined fields are validation code fields that are used
in the Employee Update. Enter the Title for these fields here.
MData Location : Directory location of QTC! data files.
QRC! Location : Directory location of the QRC! data files.

:Enter the screen title name or press ENTER to

Speed Entry Schedule Help
DFrom this form, you can schedule employee work days
by code, for one shift or an extended length of time.
For example, you can schedule an employee for an entire
week if the work code and hours are the same each day.
JEnter the starting and ending schedule dates. For 1 shift,
leave the ending date blank. Next, enter the hours. Now
enter the total time in breaks. The total hours are now
calculated for you. Enter the optional ABS Work and
Account Codes or press F5 for the Code List.

:Enter the date and time for the time card activity.

To-Do Table Help
:To-Do reminders are provided for you to use as a
private Note Pad for important notes and reminders.

To-Do Reminder Update Help
:To add a new reminder, enter the date that you want
to be reminded on. The default is tomorrow's date.
If you have enabled the Tickler option, you will be
reminded of all To Do's that are dated within the
next 3 days.

40 characters long. Press F9 when finished.

Timekeeper Menu Help
:From this menu you can view Time Card data, view
employees that are currently on duty and schedule
employee absence or work hours. The Date Schedule
list schedules by date and the Weekly Schedule list
schedules by employee.

System User Update HELP
BSystem users must already be setup as an employee before
you can setup access rights. First, enter the user level:
F1 = Full Program Access, this program.
2 = QTCard User Access Only, with menus.
3 = QTCard User Access with no menu selections.
JNow enter a unique User ID. The user cannot change this.
Now enter a User Password. This can be changed by the
user at log-on time.
