INSTRUCTIONS
To begin using the Employee Evaluator, you must first make a
directory and copy all of the files from this archive in to that directory.
To make a directory:
At the C:>
type: MD EVALUATE
then type: CD EVALUATE
To copy the files:
At the C:\EVALUATE>
type: COPY d:\*.*
NOTE: substitute the drive that you have the Employee Evaluator
files on for the d.
Now run the setup program (SETUP.EXE).
At the C:\EVLUATE>
type: SETUP
With the shareware version, you will be limited to 10 units in each database.
If you have your registration number you can enter it in the setup program and
then you can set your databases to your preferences. The databases contain the
information that you enter for your job descriptions, employee information,
supervisor information, and your evaluation comments. The setup program
prepares your databases for the Evaluation program.
Now that you have completed the setup process, you are ready to run
the Evaluation program (EVALUATE.EXE). First you will be asked to type in
your first name, ID number, and password (you entered these in the setup
program). The first thing you will need to do is to enter some job
descriptions, then enter some comments that you normally use during an
evaluation. You can now enter employee information in the employee data-
base. Once you have the employee's entered, you can perform an evaluation
by going to the evaluation menu. Just fill in the information and you have
completed your first evaluation!
You can also enter other supervisors for authorization to perform
evaluations. When installing new supervisors, you will be asked to type in a
security level. A number of 1000 or over will give full access to all menus.
A number less than 1000 will not allow access to the supervisors menu, and
numbers less than 500 will not allow editing of job descriptions or comments.
Once you receive your registration information, you can run the
utility program (UTILITY.EXE) to enter the registration codes or to expand
any of the current databases. The utility program does not delete any of your
data that you have already entered. If you run setup, it will delete ALL of
your data!
