  2. Here are 104 EZ-ROM/SF-ROM CD-ROM Door configuration files and menus for
  3. many CD-ROM disks, both old and new. You will have to edit them to suit
  4. your setup. In particular, check that the paths and filenames in the
  5. configuration file are correct. You will also have to rename the *.CFG
  6. files to either EZROM.CFG or SFROM.CFG.

  8. The list of files in this archive is contained in file SFFILES.BBS.

  10. These lists were constructed by Carl Blumenstein, Dave Clark, Mike
  11. Cummings, Dan Hartbarger, Jim Lambert, Don McNew, Joe Revolta, Mike
  12. Robinson, and Andrew Rose. Final editing and archiving by Mike Robinson.

  15. The Soft Parade BBS for inclusion in this collection.

  17. EZ-ROM and SF-ROM are both BBS CD-ROM file download doors. EZ-ROM is
  18. designed for any BBS that can use the standard DOOR.SYS door drop file with
  19. special support for Wildcat BBS. SF-ROM is designed specifically for
  20. Spitfire 3.x BBS. If you run Spitfire, get SF-ROM, all other BBS types
  21. should use EZ-ROM. Both versions share the same base source code. The
  22. configuration, file formats, and appearance is the same. Whenever new
  23. features are added, they appear simultaneously in new releases of both
  24. SF-ROM and EZ-ROM. The revision numbering scheme is the same so, for
  25. example, SF-ROM 1.30 is the equivalent of EZ-ROM 1.30.

  27. Both EZ-ROM and SF-ROM feature the following: files may be located on
  28. CD-ROM disk or magnetic disk, up to 100 disks, up to 500 file areas per
  29. disk, maintains it's own user/download database, requests from offline
  30. disks, full multi-node and network support, batch downloads from within the
  31. door, file tagging, fast text search single or all disks, ZIP and text file
  32. viewer, insertion of BBS ads into ZIP files, multi-disk changer support,
  33. automatic request manager/editor program, user manager/editor program,
  34. configurable user limits, chat mode, local drop to DOS, and multitasker
  35. aware. Can be run in local copy-to-hardrive mode in the BBS or from the DOS
  36. command line.
