FMSHEADR.MRG
RBBS 17.x
This merge conforms to the six variations of user selectable
graphics and highlighting of text.
1. NONE no highlight of text
2. NONE highlight of text (for string searches)
3. ASCII no highlight of text
4. ASCII highlight of text (for string searches)
5. COLOR no highlight of text
6. COLOR highlight of text (for string searches)
* Both COLOR variations maintain full
color headers, while observing the
users preference for text highlight
All variables are taken from items set thru CONFIG.
The RBBS BBS NAME (CONFIG parm 12) is displayed in the upper
left corner of the header, with the name of the current
Sub-board displayed to the right. This gives users a reminder
of which BBS and what file area they are in. Comes in handy
during reviews of session log captures, making it easy to
locate files when going online.
Graphic versions NONE and ASCII take on the color or non-color
preference of the user.
COLOR headers use CONFIG parms 323-326 to display colors. Easy
to "balance" the colors. Simply change the appropriate CONFIG
parm. Change CONFIG parms for sub-boards to give the user the
feeling that they have actually "gone" somewhere.
For those of you who compile, you'll find this merge a nice
addition for sprucing up the file areas. For those who don't,
maybe seeing these headers displayed will be enough to make them
take the plunge.
"Type" the enclosed SAMPLEx.BBS files to see the merge before
compiling (or run the LOOK-AT.BAT).
Use the accompanying FMSHEADR.BAT to merge. Edit to your paths.
