Character Classes
-----------------
There are currently 6 character classes available to
players in The Lost Temple. They are Warrior, Acolyte,
Sorceror, Druid, Rogue and Hunter.
Warriors are the fighters of the game. They get most of
their work done by shear brute force. They can use no magic
but have the best selection of armor and weaponry in the
game. Warriors can become very powerful very quickly if
they are played correctly.
Acolytes have a mixture of skills. They can be very good
fighters, but also have the ability to cast several different
types of spells. Most spells in the acolyte's arsenal are
used primarily for healing and curing, but they do receive
several offensive spells as they gain levels. Although
acolytes do not get as wide a selection of weapons and armor
as do the warriors, they do get a very broad selection and
can use almost all that is available.
The Sorceror is the most powerful magic user in the game.
Sorcerors get very little to choose from in the way of
armor or weapons, but their magical powers are unsurpassed
by any other character. Sorcerors will gain several utility
spells but most of their magic arsenal contains offensive spells.
As the sorceror gains levels his spells will also gain power.
Sorcerors are one of the hardest characters to keep alive, but
with persistance and patience, they will become the most
powerful creatures in the game.
Druids dwell somewhere between acolytes and sorcerors. They get
a better choice of weapons than a sorceror, but fewer choices
as compared to an acolyte. They get a wide variety of utility
spells as well as offensive and defensive spells.
Rogues are the thieves and shadow dwellers of the land. They
can use no magic but possess unique skills that help them
survive throughout the game. Some of their skills include the
ability to pick locks and spot and disarm traps. Their superior
dexterity also gives them certain advantages in combat. Rogues
get a rather good selection of armor and weapons as compared to
the magic users, but not as much choice as a warrior.
Hunters are a unique class. Their choice of armor and weapons is
close to that of the warriors. They can stay out on adventures
far from town for extended periods of time because of their
unique ability to hunt for their own food and water. These
characters can become very powerful when played correctly.
