Black Fortress v1.00B
A Damar Enterprises Product
Copyright 1993, Damar Enterprises
12-12-93
Just in time for Christmas, Damar Enterprises is releasing this game as a
FREEWARE BBS door game. This means Damar retains all ownership and title to the
product. You, as a BBS sysop, are hereby granted a limitted license to use the
game and its supporting material. Insodoing, you agree to hold Damar and its
officers harmless in the event of any damages, whether indirect or
consequential, in the use of this BBS door game. If you do not agree with this
policy, please delete the Black Fortress and all supporting files from your hard
drive. The Black Fortress has no warranties, whether explicit or implied.
Further, Damar does NOT guarantee to provide upgrades, updates, or bugfixes.
Damar can guarantee that it may, at its choice, provide future releases for a
registration fee.
OK, now that all that legal stuff is out of the way, here's the deal. This game
has been written using a door-writing library Damar Enterprises will be
releasing. Please use this door and report any errors, bugs, etc. to Damar
Enterprises at FIDONet 1:161/205 or by calling our BBS at 510-247-9221. The
game uses most of the routines found in our door library, the DoorWriter!, and
we are hoping to ferret out any bugs BEFORE letting others use the library.
Your help is greatly appreciated!
SETUP INFO:
The Black Fortress (and DoorWriter!) can use any of the following BBS dropfiles.
To configure the Black Fortress, be sure to include the dropfile's config.
number.
The DOOR.CFG file consists of the following:
Line #1 - Com Port #
Line #2 - Sysop's First Name
Line #3 - Sysop's Last Name
Line #4 - BBS Name
Line #5 - Drop File Type (See DropFiles below)
Line #6 - IRQ (Leave as 0 if default)
Line #7 - 1 to generate an ERROR.LOG, 0 to just end on an error
DropFiles:
----------
Black Fortress (and DoorWriter!) currently supports the following drop files-
Available Name CFG File Number
X SFDOORS.DAT 1
X PCBOARD.SYS (version 15.x) 2
X CHAIN.TXT 3
X CALLINFO.BBS 4
X DOOR.SYS (52-line) 5
X DORINFO1.DEF 6
X TRIBBS 7
X GTUSER 8
Currently, the DOOR.CFG file is configured for a Spitfire BBS (SFDOORS.DAT),
COM1, and default IRQ.
NOTE TO DORINFOx.DEF USERS: You must provide the .DEF file as DORINFO1.DEF even
if you use a different node than 1. Black Fortress will expect to see
DORINFO1.DEF only!
Be sure your dropfile resides in the directory you have placed Black Fortress (a
batch file is commonly used to copy it, run BF, and then delete the dropfile.)
Here's the command line for BBS Use:
BF DOOR.CFG
Here's the command line for LOCAL Use:
BF DOOR.CFG LOCAL
HI-SCORE BULLETIN:
After the end of a successful game, a SCORES.ANS and SCORES.ASC is generated and
left in the subdirectory you ran BF.EXE. You must copy these over to the proper
directory (and possibly change the extension) for your specific BBS...
Call with bugs or questions,
