Transcription: When you push the button, you complete the electric circuit so that a current flows through the wire. This activates the electromagnet. As the armature moves toward the electromagnet, the hammer strikes the bell. The contacts open and the electromagnet is turned off. Now the spring pulls the armature back, resealing the contacts, and the cycle repeats.
