Transcription: The duckling begins hatching with the first pip or break in the eggshell using its egg tooth on the tip of its beak. Once the shell is broken, the duckling continues to peck and with big kicks it forces its way out of the shell and uncurls its body. Its down is still wet and the duckling rests while it dries.
