OCR: AFRICAN FOSSIL FINDS ERMAN PROFESSOR Eberhard I Fraas (1862-1915) was visiting Dar es Salaam in Africa in 1907 when he heard of an exciting fossil find. The find was at a remote place called Tendaguru, in what is now Tanzania. Having visited the site and seen the huge quantity of bones, Fraas returned to Germany to raise funds for a big expedition. His popular talks on dinosaurs inspired the public, and money was soon forthcoming. BONES EVERYWHERE When he visited the Tendaguru site, Fraas saw exposed bones lying on the FURTHER EXPEDITIONS ground wherever he looked.
