OCR: CARNEGIE QUARRY E ARL DOUGLASS (1862-1931) was employed by the Carnegie Museum in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to hunt for dinosaur bones. He was on a field trip in Utah in 1908 when he found a Diplodocus leg bone sticking out of the rock at the bottom of a ravine. Douglass had stumbled upon one of the richest Jurassic fossil sites ever discovered. It was to become known as the Carnegie Quarry. JURASSIC BONES The spine and leg bone of Diplodocus were found buried in the Jurassic rocks in Utah. DOUGLASS AND CARNEGIE
