OCR: STELLAR WIND .............................................. STELLAR WIND IS the continuous flow of gas particles away from a star into space. It is similar to the solar wind that blows from the Sun. The hottest stars have the strongest stellar winds, frequently blowing at speeds of several thousand kilometers per second. Many stars lose a significant proportion of their masses over their lifetimes in their stellar wind.
