OCR: PULSAR .............................................. A PULSAR IS thought to be a rotating neutron star that emits two continuous beams of radiation, mainly in the form of radio waves. The beams, which are emitted from the star's magnetic poles, sweep across the sky as the star spins. If the Earth is in the path of one of these beams, the radio waves may be detected as a series of regular pulses.
