OCR: GRAVITATIONAL FIELD THE GRAVITATIONAL FIELD is the space around a celestial object in which the object's gravity has a dominant influence. All objects exert a gravitational pull on other objects, although the pull decreases with distance. This means that there is no boundary to an object's gravitational field; rather, the field gradually weakens with distance.
