These CCD antennas appear to offer little beyond novelty value. This antenna,
which is claimed to offer 5-7 dBd gain, exhibits less gain than the same length
of wire without the capacitors. The easiest way to obtain more gain from a one
wavelength wire is to extend it to 1.28 wavelengths, forming an extended double
Zepp with about 2.8 dBd gain.
