After releasing the incredibly complicated D-Day: Beginning of the End earlier this year, Impressions apparently has decided to change the pace with its next planned wargame. According to Chris Foster of Impressions, Frontlines is "a beer and pretzels turn-based hex-map wargame." Set in the near future, the game features advanced technology, contemporary tactics, Super VGA graphics, and modem or computer play for one or two players.
Another new product prominently displayed by the company at the Chicago CES was High Seas Trader, a business simulation for buccaneers. Set in the 17th and 18th century, this game will allow you to command a fleet that sails back and forth between 120 ports.
In the education department, Impressions is working on Project USA, a geographical tour of the US geared for 8-12 years olds. And, Lords of the Realm, a medieval strategy game, should be available in your local computer stores as you read this.
