DISK3756.DMS JetStrike Demo A flight simulator in which you can pilot a variety of different types of aircraft. The gameplay is of a sideways scrolling nature and the controls are different depending on what aircraft you are piloting. These range from F-14 Tomcats through to Huey helicopters to first world war tri-planes. There are lots of missions in which you must engage in air to air and air to ground attacks or there are also rescue missions as well. A nice touch is the option of air olympics in which you must perform daring stunts against the other player. Excellent.

The basic idea and concept have been heavily influenced by the shareware game Conquest and the Microprose game Civilization. The aim of the game is to spread your civilization through the 26 earth-like planets of the universe map and to defend it from other civilizations by building weapons and war ships. Unfortunately - like all half-realistic simulations and strategy games - Colonial Conquest will reward primitive destructive behavior and colonial instincts without leaving much room for cooperative actions and peaceful living. DISK3797.DMS Red Dwarf The game starts off by playing quite a good rendition of the Red Dwarf theme tune which is closely followed by the game. You must pilot the Starbug through space which is littered with dangerous asteroids and meteors which you can blast to pieces. There are power ups to collect as well. Good music.
DISK3798.DMS Dragon Compilation This compilation is comprised of three games, a flight sim, a two player shoot`em up and a one player shoot`em up. DRAGON is a a flight sim with a difference. You are in control of a dragon and you must destroy the other dragon in order to continue to the next level. The game gets increasingly harder as you go along. DRAGON 2 is a two player shoot`em up in which you both control a dragon each and must kill each other. The game is viewed from above. SEWER is an operation wolf style game. Use the mouse to shoot horrible green slimy things coming at you from within the depths of the sewers. Good.

You must be quick for if it is left too long it might mutate into even more virulent forms. To help you as well as the SLIME COMPACTOR you can blast it away with carefully placed bombs and plug its means of escape from the drains - but be quick for who knows what its final form may be. Only when all the slime is erased will Punch be forgiven and be able to emerge from his underground prison and return to his loving family.

These worlds are Brick City, Christmas Land, Outer Space, and Duck World. On level 5 of each world there is an end of world baddie. In these levels you are given continous fire power to rid the evil aliens. Player one controls the tank via a joystick in the joystick port, player two controls the jeep via a joystick in the mouse port. It's really just a case of up, down, left, right and fire. DISK3901.DMS Excellent Card Games This program allows you to play several card games with your Amiga. The graphics are good and there is a good help system built in to the game. The card games included are Yukon, Black Maria, Baroness, Frustration, and Stonewall. Very good.
DISK3902.DMS Galaxy Blast You must control a futuristic alien vehicle and skim over the surface of a planet attempting to blast away all enemies whilst trying to free prisoners who are kept captive there. Good graphics.

You must manouvre your sub marine around the inside of the ship in an attempt to raise her by shooting out certain points inside. The graphics are all 3D and each room can be viewed from almost any perspective. There are many rooms within the ship and the great graphics and gameplay help make this game a worth while challenge. DISK3909.DMS ToolBox There are three games on this disk. The first is called Toybox. In this game you must move a teddy bear around his toybox in order to destroy all the bad toys by pushing toy blocks into them. Each level is like a maze and if you run into one of the evil toys then it is goodbye teddy. Good graphics. Bombclear is an Amiga version of the Windows game Minesweeper which is a simple puzzle game involving a certain amount of clever thought. You must uncover squares on a grid without hitting bombs. If you do not a number will appear indicating how many bombs that square is touching. From this you can try to work out the where abouts of each bomb. Good. Killer Tomatoes is a puzzle game in which you are a blue mushroom being chased by a whole load of killer tomatoes. They all move towards you each time you move. The aim of the game is to force the tomatoes into hitting each other. Quite difficult.

DISK3917.DMS Smidge This is a very good platform game. You jump around some very colourful levels collecting various different kinds of power ups as well as money and also jump on the heads of any enemies that you may encounter. Good graphics and gameplay.
DISK3918.DMS Stewards Enquiry Ever played one of those horse racing games on an old 8 bit machine. Well this is just like those. Up to eight players can bet their money on horses which race before your very eyes. You can also buy a stable in the hope of winning the season and gaining prize money. Good.
DISK3919.DMS Minesweeper There are three games on this disk. The main one Minesweeper is a classic puzzle game often found on Windows. You must uncover squares without hitting mines and try to work out the where abouts of the mines and marking them. Arachnid is a solitaire card game which is played with the mouse. It has a good built in help system and a good number of options. Lines is a puzzles game in which which you simply have to draw as many lines as possilbe. However the drawing of these lines must comply with a certain set of rules laid out at the beginning. Good.
DISK3920.DMS Timeless Empire v1.1 A text adventure in which you can vertually decide the result yourself. You can not go wrong at all. Your desiscions simply change the lines of the story rather than affecting the result. A bit like a choose your own adventure book. Quite good.

You must take control of a lemming and guide him through many different events such as swimming, rowing and even chariot racing. The game play is surprisingly tricky as the whole game is controlled using the two mouse buttons. The graphics are quite good and the gameplay is addictive although difficult. Good.

First you need to position your launch pad so that you have a clear strip of space above you then you must launch the missile which you can then control by moving it from left to right or by firing the rocket boosters to speed it up. Once you have navigated your missile through the meteor and bomb filled space you must try and hit a flying saucer at the top of the screen. Good graphics and good original gameplay.

MUDs have existed on various computers for about 20 years, usually run at universities on networked computers. In a typical MUD, several people connect to the system at the same time and interact by typing in messages and commands to the MUD. MUDs are usually set up somewhat like text adventures, in that they contain a small world in which the players can explore, solve puzzles, etc. MUDs add to the adventure the possibility of interaction, within the world, of the various players. Players can talk to others in the same location; they can cooperate in solving puzzles; they can compete in improving their characters or personnas; they can engage in combat, etc. Requires use of the Lha command which is provided, also requires a hard drive with 3Mb of space.

When all eight stacks have been built and removed, you have won the game. DISK3978.DMS Space Taxi This game is a clone of an old C64 game. You must thrust your space taxi through space collecting passengers from various platforms and then dropping them off again at other platforms. The catch is that you have to control your undercarriage. Very addictive, very good.
DISK3979.DMS Obliteration This is a very good shoot'em up in which you are trapped in a room with a lot of asteroids. Blast these to pieces and collect all kinds of power ups to help yourself along. Very good.

DISK4000.DMS Trick or Treat A game that is played by two only. The game play is rather like Doom on the PC but the idea is to knock on doors where you will get a trick or treat. The treat will help you to seek and destroy the other player.
DISK4003.DMS Sensitive This is a game in which you have to move your blob around different mazes without falling in the drink. There are certain tactics that must be used as the floor falls away beneath you so there is only one correct route. Good.
DISK4006.DMS Schnebitz This is a cartoon style puzzle game in which you must guide Schnebitz through each puzzle by moving certain coloured blocks into their correct positions. Good graphics and game play.
DISK4007.DMS Starwoids (AB) This is a very well presented arcade game. The game is meant to be like StarWars. There are lots of well drawn logos, menus and even a short intro which give this game a professional feel. The actual gameplay itself is not quite as exiting but still very addictive. You have to thrust around in your X-Wing collecting troops on the ground. Good graphics. Very good.

You can select to go straight into the magazine or you can view some art from the gallery or you can read some charts or listen to some modules from the jukebox. The actual magazine is mainly to do with the demo scene. There are many articles which apart from the scene cover opinions, party news, all kinds of reviews, interviews, consoles, coding and many others. Also included is the more light hearted humorous side. Good graphics, well presented. Good.
