Installation:
There are two parts to the installation process. The first is performed
manually before running Pegasus. The second part is run from the Setting
dialog. This dialog box is displayed the first time Pegasus is run, and
can be rerun from the Configuration pull-down menu.
One time installation procedure:
1) If you already have installed a previous version of Pegasus, delete all
files in your Pegasus directory. Otherwise create a directory to hold the
Pegasus related files. For example, "C:\Pegasus".
2) Copy all Pegasus-related files to this directory.
Note: there is no need to include the directory containing Pegasus
related files in your LIBPATH= or HELP= paths if you set up a program
object that uses the installed directory as the working directory.
3) Run Pegasus.EXE, either by double clicking on Pegasus.EXE as a
program object or by entering START Pegasus at the the OS/2 system
prompt. The first time you run Pegasus it will bring up the Settings
dialog box to complete the installation.
Optional steps:
a) Add the directory created in step one to your PATH. If you don't add
the directory to your path, you'll need to type the directory name when
you start Pegasus from the command line (for example, you'll have to type
"C:\Pegasus\Pegasus" rather than just "Pegasus"). You will also need
to add the directory to your LIBPATH= and HELP=
ERROR HANDLING
Pegasus creates a log file called DCF.LOG in the Pegasus directory, or
where the process is run from. In the event of any errors or invalid
measurements, this file may be usefull in resolution.
If you do experience errors and the file is preserved, please upload
it to the technical support bbs.
