NetTime synchronizes the system clock and calendar of PC's across a Windows for Workgroups network. It does this using network DDE.
One PC is assigned as the TimeServer. Date and time have to be maintained on this PC using the Windows Control Panel.
To install NetTime:
-------------------
Install NETTS.exe in the \Windows directory of the server. Running NETTS once is required to register it as a DDE server on the network.
Install NetTime.exe on the other PC(s) in the network. Enter the name of the TimeServer in the options window. You can also run NetTime from a shared disk.
Both NETTS.exe and NetTime.exe require VBRUN300.dll to be present.
Registred users of NetTime will receive VBRUN300.dll with their copy of NetTime.
NetTime can synchronize date and time automatically when called with the parameter "Sync". Add NetTime to your StartUp group, and change the command line to "NetTime.exe sync" to automatically synchronize with your TimeServer each time Windows is loaded.
