  1. FixIM 1.0, Apple to IBM image conversion/fix <FREEWARE> 1993-94

  3. Basically this little program strips an 128 byte apple header from Apple
  4. Jpeg's and GIF's.
  5.  
  6. If you have ever downloaded a GIF or Jpeg image file from a Apple BBS and
  7. discover that Cshow or other image views for IBM do not reconize it as a
  8. Gif or Jpeg, try running FixIM 1.0 on it. It fixes most images I've gotten
  9. from Apple BBS's.
  10.  
  11. To use FixIM, either include the image filename when running FixIM or just
  12. run FixIM by itself and it will prompt you for an image filename.
  13.  
  14. After running some checks on the file it will either terminate without doing
  15. anything or prompt you for the output filename.
  16.  
  17. That's it! I hope this is helpfull to anyone that has an interest in GIF or
  18. Jpeg images!
