This disk contains the following programs/data:
* CONFIG.EXE (Creates Configuration File For GLM & LIB)
* GLM.EXE (The Graphics Label Machine)
* LOGOS.SDR (Name File For PrintMaster Graphics Library)
* LOGOS.SHP (Graphics File For PrintMaster Graphics Library)
********************************************************************************
- CONFIG -
This program creates the configuration file used by The Graphics Label Machine.
If the program does not print correctly, run this program and enter the
appropriate responses to the prompts. When seting up the spacing for 7/72" -
for many epson printers it should be set to "27 65 07" - for other epsons (and
most Star printers set it to "27 65 08". IBM Compatible printers (including
many printers that have IBM modes) will probably require an additional setting
of "27 50" - For those printers the correct setting should be "27 65 08 27 50".
The number of lines should normally be set to "1". The program can be set up to
print on different size labels by changing the line spacing.
*Refer to your printer manual if the above settings do not work on your printer.
You might have to experiment a little to find the best settings for your
particular printer.
********************************************************************************
- Graphics Label Machine -
This program prints labels with graphic images on the left side. It can
use PrintMaster, Print Shop or New Print Shop (Orig & Hi-Res) graphics.
The program is menu driven and requires very little instruction or effort
to run. Available menu options are displayed on the bottom of the screen.
If the default configuration does not work with your printer - run CONFIG.EXE
to delete the configuration file and create a new one designed for your printer.
When selecting a graphics library and/or when selecting a graphic image the
cursor arrow keys will move from name to name. If the library or graphic
image you want is not displayed, the <Page UP> key will work as a page function
to select the next 12 names/images.
A new feature added to Version 2.0 is the Autopilot. Using Autopilot allows you
to automatically print all the labels saved within a specified directory using
the current graphics displayed on the screen or using the graphics saved with
the label.
The program was designed with simplicity in mind. Experiment with it and you
will find it fast, easy to understand and simple to use.
********************************************************************************
In addition to an unrestricted version of The Graphics Label Machine, registered
users will also receive the following programs:
********************************************************************************
- Library -
This program will print out a listing (48 images to a page) of all the
graphic images in a graphics library.
********************************************************************************
- EXPORT -
This program will convert PrintMaster/Print Shop/New Print Shop (Orig & Hi-Res)
to either PaintBrush (PCX), First Publisher Art (ART) or GEM (IMG) format. The
program allows you to view the various PrintMaster/PrintShop libraries, picture
by picture, saving any or all the individual pictures in any of the above
formats. (Very useful for desktop publishing).
********************************************************************************
- Library Name Editor -
This program allows the user to modify the names associated with the Graphic
Libraries (PrintMaster/Print Shop/New Print Shop). Why would you want to do
that? If you use the CBM2IBM utility to convert Commodore graphics to
IBM Graphic Libraries, the names will probably be garbage. (Because Commodore
file names are longer than IBM file names and the Commodore graphics names are
the disk file names - therefore, when they are converted over - well, it's a
mess.) The Library name editor will help you fix them. Also, you can change
Graphic Library just because you want to.
********************************************************************************
- PS2PM -
This program will convert Print Shop libraries to Print Master Libraries and
vice versa. It also converts New Print Shop Libraries to Print Shop or Print
Master Libraries.
*******************************************************************************
- CBM2IBM -
This program converts Commodore 64/128 graphics to IBM PrintMaster Library
format.
