I know everyone has been complaining about the PRO FIGHTERs and Wildcarts.
Funny thing is that the people who complained don't even have either one
of the units and haven't even seen one... one proof: I simply asked
them what side is the disk drive on! apparently they didn't know...
The PRO FIGHTER is no longer made by FRONT FAREAST. So you will not
have any SLOW/FAST ROM problems. Althought the Pro Fighter lacks the
PC PORT it is still more adequate for an average user. It supports SMC or
SUPERCOM PRO split files for those who need it...
Now I wont tell you how the GOLDEN FINGER works coz I havent gotten to
it yet...but it looks promising!
How compatible is it? Well I loaded up SUPERCOM PRO DOS II instead of
a game, and it worked! a standard SUPERCOM PRO menu popped in and I
was able to play all my old SMC files. But who would load an old DOS
when the build in PRO FIGHTER dos support 100% of games that are out up
to date [I used the DSP cart to play MARIO KART and PILOT WINGS].
I only loaded the old SUPERCOM DOS to see how compatible it is...
The fact that the units has a build in drive makes it much more portable
and reliable. No longer do you have to plug in drive cable, you simply
insert the unit, and plug the 9V power adapter and you're set!
Btw I hear there is no software developed to take advantage of the
WILDCART's PC Link Port... so you can't use it anyway! And who knows
if software will ever be made for it! remember the
GENESIS MAGIC DRIVE -2- GAMEBOY adapters??? no dos EVER came out for it
and nobody was selling them! oh 1 more note: STEALTH DOES NOT EXIST! hehe
