  7. Here is VGIF Version 1.50.  It adds auto/manual enlargement/reduction
  8. over Version 1.40, and support for Hercules.  The scaling is nice if you
  9. have only a CGA but I don't know about the Hercules.  It does no grayscaling
  10. on CGA.  (I have grey.exe for people who want greyscaling - it seems to
  11. support CGA and Hercules).

  13. For people who don't know about GIF :  GIF stands for Graphics Interchange
  14. Format - it was developed by CompuServe as a standard way to store pictures
  15. files that can be read on various different machines.  CompuServe apparently
  16. has a lot of pictures in GIF format.  And there is one BBS (Event Horizons)
  17. where you can get pictures for a charge.  A few pictures have floated
  18. around in netland.  GIF is a (tm) of CompuServe.  There are other standards,
  19. like TIFF etc.
