FILE: Version 1.24 Update for The 7th Guest (6 replies)
(N)ext, (P)revious, (T)hread, (D)ownload file, or (R)ead description?
This update improves The 7th Guest to handle SVGA cards with VESA in
BIOS, S3-type cards are supported in MCGA, and ERROR 02/20's are
eliminated. Also, there is support for Tandy MPC machines which need to
use IRq 10

Re: Dungeon
When in dungeon, use right hand turn rule.(Turn right every time it is

Re: microscope puzzle (1 reply)
Is there any trick to doing this puzzle. I have done all the rest, some
of them being difficult, but this one has an AI that is too much for me
or anyone else that has tried it. Are there any clues outside the puzzle
that apply? I don't know if I'll ever beat it.

Re: Dungeon
You can go in the bedroom upstairs with the carpet on the floor that has
the puzzle skull. It is a drwing of the maze.

That room is gotten to from the bottom of the stairway after you
complete one of the puzzles. Facing up the stairs you'll see the teeth
at the bottom of the screen.

This file contains hints from the Solve Sig before the hard disk crash
it is in no way complete, but it reproduces some a few of the hints
that were in your t7g hint sig.

Re: microscope puzzle (1 reply)
For the microscope puzzle I can beat it by first taking the top two
<< hit any key >>horizontal rows, then attack and try to stay on the offensive. If the
voice says "you'll have to start again" ignore it because you can still
win. The outcome is usually determined at the very end of the puzzle.

I got the bottom lined up right at first, then without changing the
bottom I moved the other rows around and it just worked out. I was
amazed that it only took about 3 minutes.

Re: microscope puzzle
I think what most people would like to know is how did you take the
first two top rows? The best strategy I have found is to ALWAYS make
sure you can turn at least 3 of his to blue, 4 or more is even better!

Re: New "No Problems" Msg
I entered this before the crash, so here's a fresh version:
For anyone who's interested, I've only had one problem running T7G,
and that was after I upgraded m video card. It worked just fine
prior, and the new 'fix file'took care of that. If anyone want's to
try to match to my system for testing purposes, I'm operating with
the following configuration:

Re: T7G Ending? Using the Cheat Book?
Can someone let me know how the game is altered by using the cheat book
from the library? I used it on the microscope and one other puzzle and
I wonder if it affects the ending. I have reached the ending, and
thought it was rather short...
