* Quake Innovations *
I am currently a member of a Quake extension team named Quake Innovations.
We work to put out quality extentions for quake that involve deathmatch
play. Our biggest release to date is Qteam1.5, a QuakeC patch that allows
map makers to make great Capture the Flag maps and Tag type maps using
the patch's versatile map extensions. I have taken advantage of these
capabilities in 3 maps myself. Qflag.zip, Qtag.zip and Giggler.zip
show a few of Qteam's possibilies, check them out! Qteam1.5 is easily the
most advanced team patch out there, and Qteam2.0, which is nearing release,
will include many new things such as Advanced triggers for map makers,
Paintball, and Capture the Shamber!
Check us out at: http://www.tiac.net/users/phantom/mega
We are currently in search of dedicated quake servers that would like to
host our patch. If you are interested in getting capture the flag,
capture the shambler, or paintball on the net, let us know! Contact
myself (giggler@tiac.net) or Gary Griggs (ggriggs@gis.net) for more
information.
* Other Info *
Giggler4.bsp is made for the +deathmatch 2 setting. Be on the lookout for
paintbal.zip, the first map to take advantage of Qteam2.0's great paintball
mod for quake! In this original type of play, you and your team work to
eliminate all other teams in the game. Whoever is killed during the round
of play remains out until the round is over. The surviving team gains one
point. While the game continues throughout the elaborate castle of
paintbal.bsp, those eliminated must wait out the round hidden together
behind the walls of the level, where they are forced to roam with nothing
but an axe! At the start of the next round, they will be brought back into
the light with another shot at survival. Paintbal.bsp will be based on
giggler4.bsp. So if you like this map, be sure to get paintbal.zip after
its release!
