  11. Description:    The ultimate DeathMatch level.

  13.         KHOON is based on the author's own highly acclaimed level
  14.         MEGADETH V 2.4a. KHOON is the Punjabi/Hindi version of
  15.         MEGADETH.
  16.  
  17.         This level is specifically designed for DEATHMATCH play.
  18.         It comprises 4 zones: the ATRIUM (centre); JSH ZONE (East);
  19.         ARENA (West); and the WARP ZONE (North). There are also two
  20.         SECRET ROOMS.
  21.  
  22.         Each zone has its own theme, strategy and secrets. Note
  23.         that the skill levels (1-5) also have a major effect on
  24.         the strategies.
  25.  
  26.         KHOON is designed to be played with monsters present.
  27.  
  28.         KHOON incorporates the use of enhanced weapons.
  29.  
  30.         Laser sights and MegaViolence mode are independently
  31.         switchable.

  36. Story:          After defeating the Demons in Hell on Earth, you finally
  37.         discover the truth of DOOM. The original invasion of the
  38.         Phobos moonbase by the hordes from Hell was only possible
  39.         because of a human traitor - an officer in the Space
  40.         Marines like you. You have tracked him down after
  41.         discovering his picture in the ARENA, and now one thought
  42.         is foremost in your mind - to scatter his atoms to the
  43.         depths of hell!
  44.  
  45.         This will be your toughest mission yet - an assassination
  46.         - and you will have Earth's most advanced weaponry
  47.         available to you: guns with laser sights, silencers and
  48.         enhanced firepower!
  49.  
  50.         Earth is counting on you. The final War of the Worlds is
  51.         about to begin on Mars - Earth vs. Hell - prepare for
  52.         K H O O N . . .

  57. Gameplay:       KHOON is designed solely for deathmatches although all
  58.         other modes are supported. It is a highly strategic level
  59.         designed first and foremost for depth of gameplay. This
  60.         level rewards the strategic player who takes the trouble
  61.         to learn its secrets.

  65. Enhanced
  66. Weapons:        KHOON is an assassination mission and therefore gives
  67.         you access to enhanced weapons. These incorporate silencers
  68.         for the pistol and chaingun, and laser sights for the
  69.         pistol, shotgun and chaingun. (Laser sights are optional.)
  70.  
  71.         The silencers only muffle the shots enough for you to hit
  72.         your target without him hearing you  :)
  73.  
  74.         The shotgun and plasma rifle both have enhanced sounds.
  75.  
  76.         The laser sights are not used for the rocket launcher,
  77.         plasma rifle and BFG9000 because these weapons have a blast
  78.         radius and do not need precise aiming.
  79.  
  80.         The laser sights will auto-dim when you enter darkened areas
  81.         to avoid giving your position away  :))
  82.  
  83.         Like with the real thing, if you keep the trigger down on
  84.         the pistol, shots will tend to wander after the first one.
  85.         It is best to release the trigger after each shot. This also
  86.         applies to the chaingun. Short controlled bursts of fire are
  87.         most effective.

  89.         For super-enhanced weapons, try MegaViolence mode.

  94. MegaViolence
  95. Mode:           MegaViolence mode only operates with Doom V 1.2. You must 
  96.         also ensure you have at least 581 Kb free on your hard disc 
  97.         for the installation program to create a backup of DOOM.EXE. 
  98.         This mode gives you access to enhanced super-weapons :))
  99.  
  100.         In this mode, you have enhanced hand to hand combat, a quick
  101.         -fire auto-pistol, a rapid re-load shotgun, a 2200 rounds
  102.         per minute chaingun, a rapid re-load rocket launcher firing
  103.         super high explosive ammo, a fast-fire plasma gun and a
  104.         rapid-fire BFG9000.

  106.         This makes the game much more violent.

  133. * Instructions *        KHOON should be installed in your DOOM directory
  134.             alongside MEGADETH. The LASER and MEGAVIOLENCE
  135.             files for MEGADETH can thus be used for KHOON too.
  136.  
  137.             To activate the LASER SIGHTS, type "LASERON" at
  138.             the DOS prompt. This will work for all Doom levels.
  139.             To switch the laser sights off, type "LASEROFF" at
  140.             the DOS prompt.
  141.  
  142.             To activate MEGAVIOLENCE MODE, type "MEGAON" at
  143.             the DOS prompt (Doom V1.2 only & 581 Kb free disc
  144.             space). This will work for all Doom levels. To
  145.             switch back to ordinary mode, type "MEGAOFF" at
  146.             the DOS prompt.

  148.             To try out the level in single player mode, type
  149.             "DOOM -FILE KHOON.WAD" at the DOS prompt. Then
  150.             start your game as normal. When you enter a level,
  151.             type "IDCLEV27". You will be warped to the Atrium
  152.             in KHOON.

  156. * Compatibility *       This version 1.1 is compatible with the LASER and
  157.             MEGAVIOLENCE files packed with MEGADETH V 2.4 and
  158.             V 2.4a.

  162. * Play Guide *
  163.             This WAD should not be judged by playing it in
  164.             single player or cooperative modes, but if you
  165.             insist on playing it this way then try skill
  166.             level 4.
  167.  
  168.             On Deathmatch, for an action oriented "kill
  169.             everything that moves" game try skill level 1.
  170.             For a more strategic game try skill
  171.             level 3 (highly recommended).
  172.  
  173.             For an extremely violent game, use MegaViolence
  174.             mode with skill levels 1 or 4 (depending on your
  175.             liking for monsters). However, this mode
  176.             significantly reduces the strategy element of
  177.             the game.
  178.  
  179.             The WARP ZONE is not designed as a combat zone
  180.             and is best used as a means of access to weapons
  181.             and power-ups.

  183.             The level is designed so that if you listen to
  184.             the monsters and warp sounds you can judge where
  185.             your opponent is.

  248.     ATRIUM:         The ATRIUM has two lifts, operated by pushing one
  249.             wall on each lift. It also has a secret warp which
  250.             teleports to the top of
