  1.                       TROOPER MINIGUN PATCH
  2.  
  3. This Dehacked file will patch your doom.exe file so the troopers firing
  4. frames are remapped to the spider demon. I used the same trooper sprites
  5. but his firing info is that of the spider demon. Finally the trooper will
  6. offer a good challenge for advanced DOOM players, and be more than just
  7. a walking ammo supply.

  9. With this patch installed, it's just about impossible to complete episode 1
  10. mission 1 on nightmare skill.

  12. The trooper will also drop a minigun when killed instead of a ammo clip.
  13.  
  14. The only drawback to this patch that I have noticed is to the spider demon
  15. changing into a trooper when firing.

  17. To patch your doom.exe file you will need DeHackEd v. 1.3 by Greg Lewis.

  19. Make sure to back up your original doom.exe file!!!!

  21. Example command line:

  23.     dehacked c:\doom\doom.exe -load minigun.deh
  24.  
  25.   This will start DeHackEd, using the doom.exe file in c:\doom, and update
  26. it with the minigun.deh patch file.
