  20. Introduction

  22.         Havok has been formed from two other groups, MiC and Prophecy,
  23.         the first coming out of the Chicago burbs, and the other from
  24.         Ontario Canada.  The first Havok Pack is looking pretty good,
  25.         it isn't huge, but we have learned to leave out the lower 
  26.         quality ansi's from past experience :)

  28. New Members:
  29.  
  30.         Well since it's the first pack we are all new members, and the 
  31.         only member who joined and wasn't previously in either group is
  32.         the Replicant, and he's doing a great job.  
  33.  
  34. Members resigning:
  35.  
  36.         Polaris has resigned from our artwork division, something about
  37.         group wars :-) but he was too busy to produce much anyways.  
  38.         Tron also resigned from our artwork division, and he joined 
  39.         another group based in 7O8 called Visual Insanity, so good luck
  40.         to him there.  Spock also resigned from our Lit department 
  41.         towards the end of March, so he still has quite a bit of work
  42.         in the pack.

  46.         Well since we are a new group we obviously need some more 
  47.         artists/coders/members in general.  I am not sure at this
  48.         point whether there will be an application generator in 
  49.         the pack or not.  Personally i don't see the need for one
  50.         since all they do is take up space and you need to upload
  51.         samples of your work anyway, so if you want to apply then
  52.         upload  some of your work  (coding or art or whatever) to 
  53.         the Thieves' Guild 7O8-261-1849 or The Acropolis 7O8-557-
  54.         2826.

  56. Coding
  57.  
  58.         Well in coding news we have had an interesting time, Bleys
  59.         who was supposed to write the viewer came down with a 1O2 
  60.         fever right before he left on vacation, so he couldn't 
  61.         finish it, but Lightning (independent) coder jumped in and
  62.         helped us out by coding a viewer in Q-Basic, and it was 
  63.         pretty good considering time constraints, but fortunately
  64.         Techie happened to be at my house, and i said "Think ya 
  65.         could code us a decent viewer in 2 days?", and he came up
  66.         with the best viewer i have ever seen.  It's a DOS command
  67.         line viewer with 25 line mode with scrollback up to 3800
  68.         lines or so, 640x480 mode, and 320x200 mode with scroll
  69.         back.  The viewer is also a HUGE 3k or was it 2k big.  In
  70.         other words, this thing kicks ass, it's WAY faster then 
  71.         ACiDView and it's also 1/60 the size, and has scroll back 
  72.         on 320x200 mode.  So unless you're a windows-need-a-menu
  73.         type guy, this will be the viewer of choice for you.

  75. Artwork:

  77.         Well in the RiP department the Hitman is still our sole 
  78.         rip artist.  He's changed his style to make his work a 
  79.         little more shaded, but he's still one of the best in 
  80.         the biz in my opinion.
  81.  
  82.         Our VGA department is getting better with new acquisitions
  83.         of DayTripper and Zaphod (who is doing everything from VGA 
  84.         to lit to ansi).  Perkman is still turning out some work as
  85.         well, but overall i'd say we've added some depth in VGA this
  86.         month. 
  87.  
  88.         The ANSi artists have done a lot of outstanding work recently. 
  89.         I'd especially like to point out nightbreeds work which was 
  90.         awesome this month.  The Replicant has come in and become a 
  91.         real impact player in our ansi department as well.  And I will
  92.         always have an infinite ammount of gratitude to Sword Weaver 
  93.         for working his ass off in the ansi department, and for having
  94.         a refreshing style away from all the blood and gore.  I have 
  95.         personally watched Sword Weaver develop into an awesome artist
  96.         and i'd like to thank him for his consistency and loyalty to
  97.         this group (and the groups that merged to form it) He's the 
  98.         only artist who has stuck with us since day 1 and helped bring
  99.         us through some tough times..

  101.         The Lit department is very solid this month with Dead Puppy, and
  102.         Zaphod contributing large quantities of work, and also Spock's
  103.         large quantities of work before he left at the end of the month.

  107.         Well this has been the update for this month.  Any questions
