  1. THE WORDS WE HEAR

  3. A man is heard,                                                               
  4. Yet never listened to.                                                        
  5.                                                                               
  6. He speaks the words of righteousness,                                         
  7. and how to kill the pain;                                                     
  8. That's made by hate and greediness,                                           
  9. that causes death in vain.                                                    
  10.                                                                               
  11. His voice has hope and decency,                                               
  12. His face is all aglow;                                                        
  13. With knowledge of a better world,                                             
  14. That we should all soon know.                                                 
  15.                                                                               
  16. Yet we never gave him the respect,                                            
  17. to listen to him say;                                                         
  18. Those simple words of splendor,                                               
  19. that would deliver us one day.                                                
  20.                                                                               
  21. That man now lives another life,                                              
  22. One of pain and sorrow;                                                       
  23. Feeling theres no savior,                                                     
  24. for the hurt we'll feel tommorrow.                                            
  25.                                                                               
  26. He's loaded up his shotgun,                                                   
  27. He's found another way;                                                       
  28. To make us listen to his words,                                               
  29. Through violence that we've made.                                             
  30.                                                                               
  31. He kills and kills with no remorse,                                           
  32. the scum, the dregs, the crooks;                                              
  33. One day it catches up with him,                                               
  34. A bullet, for every life he took.                                             
  35.                                                                               
  36. The camera lights engulf the man,                                             
  37. Whose cloaked in crimson red;                                                 
  38. Everything he hoped for,                                                      
  39. The peace, the love... all dead.                                              
  40.                                                                               
  41. The story they have told us,                                                  
  42. ...filled with hype and lies;                                                 
  43. the words that we believe in,                                                 
  44. ...leads to our demise.                                                       
  45.                                                                               
  46. Life goes on,                                                                 
  47. Hatred grows;                                                                 
  48. What's in store?                                                              
  49. No one knows.                                                                 
  50.                                                                               
  51. A man has spoken,                                                             
  52. Now... we have listened.
