  10. Note for 1.2f:
  11. This is just a minor bugfix.  Some of you may possibly
  12. have noticed that if any data was input to the serial
  13. port after quitting PT (for example VBS), the machine
  14. would hang.  This is because if there was nothing using
  15. the port before PT grabbed it, PT would not clear its
  16. own vector.  The result:  new data comes along, and
  17. an interrupt jumps to a NOW OVERWRITTEN routine.  Bang!
  18. This fix simply restores the old serial I/O enable bits
  19. which means that if they were disabled before, they'll
  20. be disabled now.  Hope I haven't screwed it up!

  26. assuming it worked , at least it did on 2 A500's
  27. 12months ago, but now???, so I hooked my A500 up
  28. next to my A1200 to be sure this time, and what do you
  29. know, BANG it crashed , so I went on to fix it and
  30. here it is!

  32. The Protrackers send the commands at 19200 buad to
  33. each other, so they are really both masters to
  34. each other.

  47. This is the same as the old protracker 1.2b or so
  48. but with the added benefit of doing real 8 channel
  49. modules. What you do is hook up two amigas via a null
  50. cable (serial to serial)  and then when you play/record
  51. on one amiga it instantly (with maximum 20ms delay apart)
  52. does the same on the other one, so just make two modules
  53. which play well together and pressplay on either ONE!
  54. then it will send the signal to do the same on the other
  55. amiga. Playing via the gadgets will only play on your local
  56. machine and playing via keyboard will do iton both
  57. so ALT  or AMIGA will play serial and RSHIFT will 
  58. make both record at once so you can edit the SO CALLED
  59. 8 tracks easily

  61. I thought of this in early 1992 and then I implemented it in
  62. protracker for a friend of mine. Then I saw the future options
  63. for protracker 3.1 and they thought of it too but till
  64. this date it still aint do it.  RIP it off me please!!!!!!

  66. It also has pitch control for each track, nice to play with!

  68. In the sample edit there is a button called MON
  69. this monitors incoming audio from 8bit sampler and displays
  70. it in full screen, cool to watch on HUGE TV!

  73. Other hardware needed, yo need an audio mixed so you can
  74. mix both amiga's audio signals together to get full 
  75. 8 channel audio.

  82. BTW: all (most) pictures with in PT are IFF so they
  83. all are included in to the thing when compiled (ASM)
  84. I used devpac and it worked fine!
  85. Do NOT USE Brilliance to save your IFF's they contain
  86. an xtra chunk which the IFF decode code gets confused with
  87. use DPAINT otherwise just fix the IFF DECODE code.

  92. a protracker  or clone that will use 16bit 8/16 track
  93. so that by the time AAA comes out we wont have to wait
  94. 12 months for it, start now and use the OS! if possible
