LOGIN v2.0 L&D USERWARE REGISTRATION $15.95
UTIL AUG90 LOGIN TRACK TIME USE
FILES: login20.sdn
UPDATE
LOGIN: is a set of software programs that will keep track of
the time your computer is used, who is using it and what they
are doing. There are four main programs, and several smaller
files that are used.
LOGIN: works on the principle that everyone using your
computer has a Name and a reason for using it. The files you
set up to keep records of who uses your computer and what
they use it for can be timed and a few key strokes can tell
you when and for how long the computer was in use.
LOGIN: can be set up with password protection. Unless
someone has the password, they will not be able to log onto
the computer.
LOGIN: was originally designed to keep track of the business
use of a personal computer for Income Tax purposes. This was
a simple solution to meet the IRS requirement to keep track
of the time a computer is used for business purposes. This
way it could be used as a tax deduction. You can also keep
track of non-business use of your computer (for example:
making Christmas cards, the kids playing games or you playing
games). In addition, for a business you can determine how
much time you spent on a project or a client. You can print
totals based on many different options. What started out as
a simple program has bloomed into a complete tracking system
that is easy to use.
LOGIN: can be installed on floppies or on a hard disk.
Either installation can be set up to work automatically when
you turn on your computer by adding a line to your
AUTOEXEC.BAT file.
LOGIN: uses pull down menus to help you create files by NAME
and USE. All you have to do is supply the Name or uses to
designate who used and/or what your computer was used for.
Depending on how you set up your files, pressing one key will
log you on for timing purposes.
You will be limited to 6 options (NAME/USE) per file;
however, you may have as many files as you need.
LOGIN: has a limited desktop option that will allow you to
start your favorite software package with one key when you
log on. To better track your computer use, you can add
comments when you log on. The comments, up to 40 characters,
can be used for record keeping or additional searches.
LOGIN: can log you off the computer and store the time you
spent on the computer to a file. This will have to be done
manually (typing LOG-OFF) or in a batch file.
LOGIN: will print totals of computer usage. The totals can
be based on NAME, USE or COMMENT or any combination of the
three. You can also select a start and a stop date to search
in.
System Requirements:
Runs on any IBM or compatible with 256K, CGA, EGA/VGA or
Monographics, from either a floppy or hard drive. Also
supports a mouse.
