New Release
LEANER provides tools to evaluate risks from obesity,
motivate weight loss and maintain ideal weight. Creates an
individualized and comprehensive permanent weight loss
program based on current research by health professionals.
This is definitely not the traditional calorie counting or
nutrition analysis package.
Daily logs tracks weight related items for a calendar year.
The specific fields are: date, weight, eating style (5 pt.
subjective assessment), exercise (type, distance, duration,
aerobic points) and weight loss strategies and a progress
notes line for entering personal observations.
Log data can be reviewed in terms of eating behavior or
energy expended. Another review mode promotes assessing the
effectiveness of your chosen weight loss strategies. And
another data review takes a detailed look at the effect of
exercise on your weight.
Graphs provide detailed plots of daily entries and annual
overviews of weight gains and losses. Print monthly weight
reports and exercise reports that include graphs as well as
daily entry information.
Charting features support for handling large groups, making
it ideal for clinics and corporate health programs seeking to
motivate and sustain weight loss for their clients.
Many self-assessment items. Calculate cardiovascular risk
factors. Use Body Mass Index and Waist-Hip-Ratio to
ascertain health risk from over and under weight. Estimate
Percent body fat and lean body mass. Find the "safe weight"
range for a person your age. Modified forms of the
State-Trait Anxiety Inventory, the Beck Depression Index and
the CAGE questionnaire explore the psychological factors
associated with weight management.
Additional features. Aerobic exercise points are
automatically calculated and displayed. Metric weights and
measures are optional units for input and display. Automatic
conversion between English and Metric units is supported.
Other tools include goal setting module, food diary
templates, personalized food exchange meal plans and a user
guide that contains information on diet and obesity from
current nutrition and health literature.
Hardware Requirements : IBM PC-compatible computer,
640k RAM (H-Disk, printer & EGA/VGA recommended).
