Syntax: PHLBL [filespec]
PHLBL prints labels and rotary file/index/post cards stored
in easily-maintained ASCII files. Each label/card/ tag can
contain up to 15 lines of text; embedded commands for date,
time, margin; selectable printer attribute for each line.
Printing attributes include draft, bold, compressed, elite,
italic, NLQ, underlined, small, wide and huge on Epson
compatible dot-matrix printers.
Provisions are included for non-printing comment lines, blank
lines within labels, label height settings (up to 15 lines
per label), and inter-label skip settings.
PHLBL has no provision for maintaining, sorting, or editing;
you do that using a word processor or text editor that you
already know, so there won't be any strange new word
processor commands to learn. Any editor that reads/writes
standard ASCII files will suffice.
Line attributes and other embedded commands are optional; in
its simplest form, PHLBL prints 5-line labels in draft mode.
Label entry is as easy as the editor you use. Below is an
example of a label storage file containing two basic labels:
Label one line 1
Label one line 2
Label two line 1
Label two line 2
Hardware Requirements : IBM PC, XT, AT or compatible.
with at least 256K RAM.
Epson-compatible dot-matrix printer
required to use optional printer
attributes; most impact printers
will work for plain labels.
Other Requirements: DOS 2.1 or later.
