The series is still running in CBS late-night on Tuesdays, after Letterman,
but not all CBS affiliates are carrying it. The second season is going
directly into syndication, like Highlander or Star Trek. Write to your
local stations if you'd like them to carry the series. Filming is
currently underway on the second season, which is due out in September.
Great big thanks to Allen for all this work.
The listserv discussion group for Forever Knight fans may be joined
by sending a message to listserv@psuvm.psu.edu with no subject heading
and a single line in the body: "subscribe forkni-l [YourNameHere]".
Don't include anything else, like .sigs, as it confuses the poor,
simple machine and you get a buncha error messages. An introduction
to the list will be mailed to you automatically.
[Warning: Nigel Bennett (LaCroix) reads the list and has even posted
a couple of times. He says this season's even better than the last!]
FOREVER KNIGHT
Episode Guide, compiled and copyright by Jerry Boyajian
Post V2.0 stuff compiled and copyright by Allen B
(ab@nova.cc.purdue.edu).

directors, and very brief synopses taken from TV GUIDE.

Added detailed cast and production credits.

Added the original (1989) pilot.
V3.0: (December 1992)
Added episodes since V2.0. Probably tweaked a few other
things as well.

More little changes and updates to broadcast schedule.
V3.2: (April 1993)
More episodes and updates to broadcast schedule.

If you'd like to send physical mail to the creators of FOREVER
KNIGHT, the following address has been suggested:

Culver Studios

Bldg C, room 209
Culver City, CA 90232
Because FOREVER KNIGHT, like any network show- especially
those on late at night- has a foggy future, any fan support
is helpful. Also, because of possible changes in CBS programming,
you might want to suggest other outlets for the program (such
as Fox, syndication, USA, or even primetime).
Premise & Characters:
"He was brought across in 1228. Preyed on humans
for their blood. Now he wants to be mortal again.
To repay society for his sins. To emerge from his
world of darkness. From his endless, forever night."
FOREVER KNIGHT concerns the adventures of Nick Knight, an 800-year-
old vampire who hates the killing and is determined to once again
become mortal. He currently works the night shift as a detective
for the Toronto Police Department homicide division. Schanke
(pronounced "skenky") is Nick's full-of-himself (and full of it)
partner, and Captain Stonetree their boss, neither of whom know
what Nick really is. Natalie is a coroner who knows Nick's secret
and is trying various physiological means to help bring him "back
over". Lacroix is Nick's master -- the one who made Nick a vampire,
and Jeanette is a vampire who was a lover of both Nick and Lacroix
in 13th Century France and now runs the Raven, a Toronto nightclub
which counts vampires among its customers.
Notes:
In August 1989, CBS aired a 2-hour movie, NICK KNIGHT, as a pilot
for a proposed series. It was set in California and starred Rick
Springfield as the undead dick. A series never came of it, but the
concept was...er...resurrected and revamped (ouch!) as FOREVER
KNIGHT for CBS's late-night "Crimetime After Primetime" line-up.
The two-part premiere of FOREVER KNIGHT, with some modifications,
is a remake of the original NICK KNIGHT movie. It's worth noting
that John Kapelos (Schanke) is the only cast member from the
original pilot to transfer over to the series.
In the Broadcast Schedule, the episode numbers appear as both
"x.y" and "z". "X" is the season number, "y" the episode number
within the season, and "z" the whole episode number. (This won't
really mean anything until (if) the series goes into a second
season.)
[ According to my local paper, episode 9 was the "season
premiere". Since that's not the most accurate of sources,
I'll change if it anyone objects, but for now, that's how it's
listed. - ab ]
The on-screen cast lists in the closing credits do not provide
character names to go with the actors' names. Any assignment of
character name or description to an actor is either (a) taken from
TV GUIDE entries, (b) because I recognize the actor from elsewhere
and can associate a spoken character name with that actor, or (c)
the result of a reasonable process of elimination. Character names
are enclosed in brackets since they don't appear on-screen; if a
character name is not in brackets it means that the name *does*
appear on-screen (Principal Cast list excepted). Any actor-to-
character assignment I'm fairly sure of, but unable to guarantee,
is accompanied by question marks.
Schanke's first name, and the name of the coroner in the original
pilot, comes from Lee Goldberg's UNSOLD TV PILOTS (1991).

problem of having to appear in court to testify in broad daylight,
