  5. Residential and business links are designed to support voice grade
  6. transmission parameters.  GTE's Dial DataLink service provides special
  7. conditioning to a customer's local loop, ensuring that it will transmit
  8. data up to 4800 bps.
  9.  
  10. Dial DataLink is a service that will benefit customers who are experiencing
  11. data transmission problems on their local loop.  It is also intended for
  12. those customers who can currently transmit data up to 4800 bps, but who want
  13. to ensure that the phone company will not make standard network provisioning
  14. changes that will have a negative impact on their ability to transmit data up
  15. to 4800 bps.

  17. The quality of the line is guaranteed only between the customer's point of
  18. demarcation and the serving central office switch.  No guarantee is made for
  19. a transmission level over the entire circuit.
