  3. PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:

  5. Digital Channel Service is an intraexchange multifunctional digital channel
  6. service which provides multifunctional access transport for a variety of
  7. switched and dedicated network services on a channelized basis over a single
  8. high-capacity DS1 facility.  This service provides local loop transport from
  9. the customer's premises to the serving wire center.
  10.  
  11. Digital Channel Service is provided in capacity increments of 24 digital
  12. channels (DSOs) over a single DS1 facility.  Network services may be
  13. furnished on a link (partial channel) basis across multiple jurisdictions.
  14.  
  15. DCS consolidates public switched and private line access to GTE wire centers
  16. onto a single transmission path which provides reserved digital capacity and
  17. reduced error rates.
