  6.      Want a book that pushes the limits of satire, then do I
  7. have a book or series for you! The series is called Mission
  8. Earth and the book is called Death Quest. It was written by
  9. L. Ron Hubard, Author of science fiction great's like Battle
  10. Field Earth, and Lunacy. He has been writting science fiction
  11. since the late 30's and has amassed quite a following over the
  12. years. Though unfortunately he has the greatest notoriety for
  13. his book  DYNATICS, which I found to be no different from
  14. any other self help book.                     Imagine earth
  15. containing nothing but lunatics (Not far in the future if you
  16. take into account what has been going on recently). And two
  17. men from another galaxy come for two completely different
  18. reasons. Jetro Heller, interstellar hero , soldier , and all
  19. around good guy is trying to save the planet so that it will
  20. still be around when the Votarian government is ready to
  21. invade.  While Soltan Gris is what I would call a Homicidal
  22. Schizophrenic working for an equally insane organization
  23. called Central Information Apparatus or CIA, Notice the
  24. similarity of name to another Earth based organization. Well
  25. this is no coincidence, Because Apparatus is modeled after
  26. Earths CIA and is just as bent upon domination of all. Which
  27. comes to Soltans mission, which is to make sure that Jetro
  28. Heller fails his mission so that Apparatus can continue to
  29. import drugs from earth to Voltar For the sole purpose of
  30. addicting and enslaving the leaders of that world. 
  31.       Besides the two central characters there is a lot  of sickos
  32. to play with your head. First there is J. F. Rockecenter A
  33. multi-billionaire with some pretty big mental problems he
  34. has a hand in everything from energy, drugs, real estate,
  35. banking, mining And every thing else that is associated with
  36. big business, which is bad news for the rest of the world
  37. because he has the power to anything he wants including
  38. starting world war III. While there is his favorite PR. man
  39. William JR. Slander who means well, but everyone he ever
  40. promotes ends up  killing them selves or being killed by an
  41. angry mob, that's why Rockecenter has him promote his
  42. enemies. Next there is DR. Phallus who is Rockecenter's
  43. Psychiatrist, Chief promoter of Psychiatric birth control, A
  44. method that involves turning the populace homosexual to
  45. keep the population down. With Rockecenters help Dr.
  46. Phallus's dream is becoming a reality. Another two
  47. character's are two X-lesbians Candy and Miss Pinch, Who
  48. have discovered that psychiatric birth control is a crock and
  49. are determined to convert others like them to heterosexuality
  50. by way of Black Mailing Soltan Gris into showing them the
  51. pleasures of the opposite sex. But Soltans true Nemesis is
  52. Teeny a 14 year old nymphomaniac that just can't get
  53. enough of him in the worst kind of way, which causes her to
  54. blackmail him by taking pictures of them in the act, doctored
  55. to look like he is raping her. Last there is my personal
  56. favorite Torpedo, who is a hit man that has a thing for his
  57. victims. Let me explain in his own words "It began about six
  58. years ago when I was in prison undergoing behavior
  59. modification therapy. Great stuff. The prison psychologist in
  60. organizing the gang rapes was a great guy. I was in
  61. consolation with him one day and he said he'd noticed I
  62. never joined the rape lines in the showers and he was
  63. worried about me. He said how could he modify my behavior
  64. to greater criminality if I wouldn't participate in group
  65. therapy. He worked and worked on me-the usual treatments:
  66. Having me (bleep) him and him (bleeping) him in the (bleep).
  67. And that's when he discovered what was really wrong with
  68. me. I had never been able to get an erection and even
  69. couldn't with him. well he thought and thought and finally
  70. he asked me if I had ever (bleeped) a dead person.? Well I
  71. had to confess that I never had. So he told me that I had
  72. better get a dead one and make sure that the body was fresh
  73. and warm. He said that it was just basic psychology, a
  74. perfectly normal thing. And he told me how to do it in detail.
  75. But there was a hitch, we were in a all male prison and there
  76. were no dead women so he stamped my parole card and sent
  77. me on my way. What a great guy.".
  78.       L. Ron Hubard may not write very good self help books.
  79. But as far as satire goes he is an absolute genius with one of
  80. the sickest minds in history. I urge you if you have a couple
  81. extra bucks to spend and the time, pick up this book and be
  82. ready to have your mind bombarded with all sorts of sick
  83. demented fun for the whole family.
